What is DNA?

People say DNA because its original name is pretty long and
hard to pronounce. DNA is an acronym for Deoxyribonucleic
Acid. DNA is part of living organs, contains directions, and its
connected to RNA. I learned a particular function that DNA has
to do.

To understand the function

of DNA, I focused on one
function specifically. First, I
read that amino acids turn into
protein, then protein and other
chemicals turn into living cells.
After that, living cells turn into tissue and tissue turn into organs,
which are the components for a human being. Therefore, DNAs
function is to tell Amino Acids how to arm themselves to form
Proteins. Amino Acids are like legos, so DNA tells the legos how to
arm themselves to make a perfect functional protein.

DNA is a molecule, its a bunch of Atoms stuck together. In

the case of DNA, this atoms combine and form the shape of a long
spiral ladder. DNA is formed by 4 different
types of chemicals. DNA is found in the
nucleus of a cell. Amino Acids live outside
of the cell, Amino Acids live in the
cytoplasm of the cell. DNA acts like a
blueprint or a recipe for living things. To
make DNA have contact with the Amino
Acids special chemicals in the nucleus
make partial copies of DNA code called RNA.
RNA looks like DNA but, RNA is
missing half of a molecule and RNA is
much shorter than DNA. What happens
is the partial copies of DNA code called
RNA go out the nucleus to the cytoplasm
into the mouth of another particle called
ribosome. Ribosomes are RNA reading
machine, they read 3 letters at a time to
suck Amino Acids out of their surrounding
and stick to them together in a chain
according to the genetic code. As the
chain grows it starts to bend, fold and it
sticks to itself to form a perfectly shaped protein. Every three
letters of the RNA tells the ribosome which of the 20 different
types of Amino Acids should be added next. An example of 3 RNA
code turned into protein is that CAA means to add a glutamine,
AGU tells it to grab a serine.

DNA is an acronym for Deoxyribonucleic Acid. The

components of the DNA structure is composed of Phosphate
group, sugar, and Nitrogen Bases (A,T,G, and C). The job that this
bunch of atoms does is act like a blueprint, which gives directions
to every cell in the body.
