Dear Family and Friends,

This summer I was blessed with the opportunity to begin serving Fly Fishing Collaborative
(FFC), an organization with the mission of providing sustainable living to orphans and at-risk
children saved from human trafficking. FFC is an established and recognized international
community. It encompasses a global network of individuals who use their passions, like fly
fishing, to prevent more children from being trafficked and commercially exploited.

FFC, an official 501(c)(3) and sustainable non-profit, protects thousands of orphans and at-risk
kids that have now received the gift of freedom; to live a life out of the clutches of slavery.
These young children have received sustainable food and economic support for their living
needs as provided by FFCs aquaponics fish farm and gardens.

Over the past three years, FFC built five self-sustaining aquaponic fish farms and gardens for
orphanages and schools. Constructed in 4-6 weeks by volunteer teams, the environmentally
safe farms were built in Cheng Mai, Thailand - 163 kids; Punta Gorda, Belize - 150 kids are
schooled and housed; Eldoret, Kenya - 135 kids and delivers a food program to 200 kids
residing in the local slum; Epworth, Zimbabwe - 300 kids live and 2000 more from the residing
community are fed; and Mpata, Uganda - 120 Kids. FFC further provided continued support to
seven other previously built orphanage fish farms in locations like India and Myanmar.
Providing food and economic support, these farms are feeding thousands of children who
otherwise would be victimized by trafficking; but a critical problem remains unanswered, the
thousands of kids who are still in dire need.

According to the United Nations Childrens Fund (UNICEF), human trafficking is the worlds
third largest enterprise after drugs and weapons. Over 2 million children are affected annually.
Studies show that children caught in sex trafficking are victimized by 100-1,500 perpetrators
each year. Buyers of these children are from all income levels, ethnicities, ages and
occupations. They will pay up to $400 per hour for a child, and although the average age of a
victim is 13, they may be sold up to 15 times per day. Driven by a growing list of complex
concerns, particularly in impoverished regions, the problem is extreme, but much is being done
and must be done to stop this injustice. Will every child be saved, sadly no, but together we
can save hundreds, thousands, and this is where I need you and I am inviting your help.

In March 2017, FFC is committed to rescuing children from human trafficking in Thailand, an
area of the world struggling greatly at the hands of this injustice. If youre unaware, it is
estimated that Thailand has over 60,000 kids involved in the commercial sex industry annually,
but ZOE is working hard to prevent more from falling victim. Currently they host 130 rescued
and at-risk kids in their safe home in Northern Thailand. FFCs commitment is to provide ZOE
with further support for kids by building them a brand new 30x60 tilapia and vegetable farm.
Upon completion the farm will provide them with sustained food and economic resource.
I am personally committed to helping the projects success. I have been called help with this
project. Beginning March 18th, I will take my two weeks of spring break to travel with FFC
volunteers to Cheng Mai, Thailand to help construct a new aquaponics fish farm for rescued
kids. During these two weeks, we will work as a team, often 10 to 12 hours a day to prepare
the farm ground; to source and secure local building resources; to hand dig trenches and place
water and electrical lines; to mix and pour cement foundations; to weld and raise a greenhouse
structure; and to construct a controlled flood system for the vegetable gardens, so that when
complete the kids will have sustainable food source for years to come. In preparation to
complete this build, I must consider how to address the needs for travel and logistical
expenses. This is where I am seeking your financial support to join FFC and to assist my
hands of labor. In the last minutes of planning, God aligned my schedule for me to participate
in this life giving opportunity. As a nursing student I do not know how He made this happen,
but I am faithful to where he calls me. I also have faith that he will provide where needed, and
the need is great.

I have set a personal goal to raise $1,500 dollars for Thailand and the support of these 130
kids. The money raised will aid my airfare. Additionally, any funds received in excess of will be
used to cover the cost of housing, and provisions while at the orphanage. God is good, so
funds beyond that will be donated directly to FFCs other 2017 orphanage farm builds,
expected in Africa or South America this Summer and Fall.

Family and Friends, if youre able and feel called to help me and FFC in fundraising, I invite
you to please fill out the donation form and return it with whatever funds youre willing or go
online to make a donation. I know that time is short, but any bit helps. Please feel free to
share with anyone you know.

All, my deep appreciation to you for considering Fly Fishing Collaborative and joining me to
serve kids in need. And, even if financial support is not something youre able at this time, I do
please invite your communication, prayers, and words back as I look forward to sharing with
you the success the Thailand farm and the care provided to the children residing there.

Sincerely,
Allie
