1 SCOPE:
This specific method statement is to define the procedure to be complied during the
erection of Piping / Pipe support.

4 PROCEDURES METHODOLOGY OF WORKS INSTRUCTIONS

4.2 Premises:
4.1.1 During the working at site paramount importance will be given to HSE in
all works.

4.3 Materials:
4.3.1 AL BARRAK will receive all material, required for installations. Arranged
material shall be as per clients specifications (described in enquiry
document) and MTCs will be reviewed by AL BARRAK and client QC
team.

4.3.2 CLIENT QA / QC & AL BARRAK QA/QC will check and confirm about
the material specifications, and will ensure about the material, as per
client specifications.

4.4 Receipt & Storage Of Structure Raw Materials:


4.4.1 Materials shall be off-loaded at lay down area near installation point. All
items shall be checked, as per standard and stacked properly.

4.5 Erection Procedure:


4.5.1 AL BARRAK site engineer will survey all area prior to start the erection
activity, and will discuss with the Clients representative to locate the
items to be erected.

4.5.2 All items related to Piping/Supports will be identified by AL BARRAK/


CLIENT. AL BARRAK shall place the tags on Piping Spool.

4.5.3 AL BARRAK supervisor shall take required permits by the CLIENTs


authorities. Isolation will be provided by CLIENT, prior to start the
erection if required.

4.5.4 Approved Risk Assessment shell be available at work location.

4.5.5 Shifting of Prefabricated spool form AL BARRAK Workshop to lay down


area.

4.5.6 Placement of material at site in properly tagged separated for different


areas.

4.5.7 Erection of scaffolding for work higher elevation than 1.8 M.

4.5.8 Installation of Rollers for pipe laying on existing pipe rack.

4.5.9 Rigging of spool as per isometric drawing.

4.5.10 Fit up of Field Weld Joints as per isometric drawings.

4.5.11 After inspection of Fit Up, welding would be done as per Approved
Welding Procedure Specification.

4.5.12 Welding would be done by qualified welders.

4.5.13 All test to be done as per Inspection Test Plan.

4.6 Handing-over & Site Clearance:


4.6.1 At the completion of all jobs related to the described scope of work, AL
BARRAK shall arrange housekeeping for site area. All surplus materials
shall be disposed.

5. HSE INSTRUCTIONS
PERMIT
Compliance with permit to work procedure is mandatory for the job.
Job shall be started after the issuance of valid work permit. Certified permit`
receiver is responsible for the safe executions of the job.

TOOL BOX TALK


To carry out the job, job hazards and precautions shall be discussed with the crew
in the tool box talk meeting before starting the job. Job supervisor is responsible
for conducting the tool box talk.

JSA
JSA of the job shall be developed and shall be communicate to the crew in which
all job steps shall be clearly mentioned with job hazards and their control
measures. Job supervisor is responsible for developing and communicating the
JSA.

ERECTION OF PIPPING

PPE
Compliance to the use of personal protective equipments is mandatory to carry out
the job. Personnel shall use mandatory PPE (Safety Helmets, Safety Glasses,
Coverall and Shoes) with appropriate additional PPE as per job requirements.

HOUSE KEEPING
Housekeeping before, during and after the job is mandatory. Job supervisor and personnel
during the job are responsible of maintain good housekeeping.
