Q: What separates Orange Vises from other

vises on the market?

A: Our vises include quick-change features

as standard equipment - features that are
optional or simply not available on other
vises. In addition, our vises are designed to be
exceptionally reliable and accurate.

Q: What makes Orange Vises so reliable?

A: Our current third-generation vises are built

with hardened wear surfaces and do not use any
thrust bearings, eliminating a potential source
of problems. Furthermore, the main screw
threads are completely sealed, preventing chips
and swarf from binding the screw.

Q: Do I need extra jaws and jaw plates?

A: Sooner or later, yes.

The included standard jaws and jaw plates

are great for clamping rectangular stock, but
machinable accessory jaws unlock the true
potential of our vises for clamping irregular-
shaped workpieces, curved parts, and rough
stock.

In addition to machinable jaws and jaw plates,

we also offer stepped jaws, serrated jaws, vee-
jaws, and many others.

BALL COUPLERS
Every vise we make is Ball Coupler Ready.
Our zero-point system can be added at any time,
giving you quick-change ability to install or remove
vises, fixture plates, and other workholding devices
from your machine in minutes.
Each coupler delivers over 10,000 pounds of holding
force while maintaining +/-0.0005 or better locating
repeatability.
Couplers can be actuated manually or pneumatically
from above OR below the fixture. No other zero-point
system on the market offers this much flexibility.
SUBPLATES (BELOW)
Cast iron, steel, and aluminum subplates are
available in a variety of sizes and can be customized
to fit your machine table. Compact subplates can
be rearranged at any time for added flexibility
compared to large subplates.
