7th Grade World History Culture report

As part of the 7th grade common core standards, 7th graders will be working on a
multi-step research project on a modern nation of their choice. The objective is for
students to gain knowledge about a modern nations history and culture that we
would not have class time to dig into in great detail. This project encompasses
multiple social studies topics; history, anthropology and sociology. We will end the
year with the students brining in a dish that best represents the nation that they
researched. Individual handouts will be given for each portion of the project.

The final research paper will be typed, 8 12 pages in length, size 12 font and will
include the following:
Intro
Part #1 history
Part #2 historical landmarks / UNESCO sites
Part #3 significant people (3)
Part #4 Culture
