Why build just a snow fort when you create Xander (above) and Bubba, while the girls are
a snow castle? Thats what these kids were Alyssa (left) and Alexis Murdock. With warm

For those who braved the wind, they had a blast!
The Glasgow Area Chamber of Commerce &
Agriculture held its 19th Annual Ice Fishing Derby at
the Dredge Cuts Trout Pond at Fort Peck Lake this past
Saturday, February 11th.
It was a die-hard day for the fishermen, women and
kids who chose to participate. While the temperature
for the afternoon ranged from 32 to 37 degrees, that
was a plus considering high winds gusting to 50 mph!
The contest featured 62 paid entries and 177
holes were sold. There were well over 100 people on
the ice with participants from Glasgow, Jordan, Poplar,
Glendive, Fort Peck, Wolf Point, Brockway, Nashua,
Miles City, St. Marie, Belgrade, Billings, Grass Range,
Antelope, and Minot, ND. An estimate of 50 more
people came to observe the tournament and enjoy the
festivities.
A total of $4560.00 in cash, prizes, and raffles were
awarded to the participates. The 50/50 raffle was won by
Wolf Points Traci Harada in the amount of $640. The
Yetti cooler was won by Josh Sillerud.
A total of 65 fish were weighed in with ten being Trevor Shipp with Glasgow Evangelicals 2nd place
