I find Reservoir Engineering to be particularly interesting due to its challenging and

unpredictable nature, plus its global importance to increase the productivity of Oil
and Gas fields and meet the ever-increasing demand of World. There is so much
difficulties in predicting the reservoir performance since one cant look to the sub-
surface features and process but can only predict it using different theories and
correlations. The most interesting fact One can never find two similar reservoirs
anywhere in the world, has ignited my curiosity and interest to enhance my
knowledge within this field. Due to this reason, every new field is a new challenge
and I like to face challenges. This requires team work and joint effort of Geologist,
Geophysicist, Reservoir Engineer and constant feedback from Drilling and
Production Engineers and there is so much to learn from this. All these factors make
this job more fascinating and tempting. I would love to work on new and innovative
projects like CO2 sequestration and Enhanced Oil recovery on which Shell in working
in North sea, Canada, Norway and USA. I learnt about these topics from my last
internship and academic projects. There is already lot of research going on these
topics to make these processes more predictable and economical and Shell would
provide me an excellent platform for this. I believe this is where I can contribute the
most.

Shell has outstanding reputation in energy sector and always looking for new and
innovative ways to meet the increasing energy demand of World. I have done my
junior project on Enhanced Oil Recovery and read about CO 2 sequestration in CBM
fields. Shell is also doing research and projects on these topics. Both Shell and my
objectives converge on this and it would provide me excellent platform to further
know about these techniques.
Shell is a global company which offers a fabulous mix of inter cultural and inter
financial exposure. I admire the strength through diversity notion that propagates.
The internship would give me a chance to work with a diverse team and get
different perspectives on my respective problem. I would learn to integrate their
viewpoints into my findings the way an industry leader like Shell does. Eliminate,
Standardize & Automate as a workflow process is the most efficient tool that I have
come across & have tried to apply it in the work flow of SPE ISM Student chapter
with encouraging results.

I am always eager to learn more about everything and try to relate all the facts

2. Teamwork
I worked in SPE ISM and Petrotech ISM student chapter and organized various
events. These helped me to learn more about teamwork. In SPE, I was Head, Event
management and I have to work in coordination with other teams. This will help me
in workplace as I would have to work in synergy with other departments.
3. Organizing Skills.
I held various leadership positions like Petrotech/SPE/Kartavya/ FFI and helped to
organize several events. I have also organized and volunteered conferences and
events; prominent being ISM PETROMELA and Regional South Asian Paper Contest
2016. I learnt the importance and requirement of pre-planning and drafting while
organizing an event.

Punctual

I secured a 5th rank in Delhi State Open Merit Test 2010. Approximately 1,00,000
Students across Delhi appeared for this exam and top 5 were selected. Dr. Har
Gobind Khorana, the Chief guest of prize ceremony, gave a lecture on his research
on Leaf Veins and Patterns and how from there he reached to get Nobel Prize as a
biochemist. I also got a trophy and Rs. 500 cash prize from him. He explained how
he kept on questioning himself and looking for answers. His words increased my
curiosity to learn more about everything happening around me and take Science as
Major in Class XII. This approach also helped me to clear IIT JEE.
This made me recognize my strengths and weakness. I became more dynamic and
organized after this event. I observed a drastic positive positive personal change in
my skills and overall personality. This indeed has given me the confidence to believe
that I can perform my best in anky kind of environment and conditions and this I

whether its a sports team, a company or even a persons social life, the importance
of emotional intelligence and interpersonal abilities is inevitable. All throughout my
life, I have tried to incorporate these qualities in my attitude and behavior. I worked
in SPE ISM chapter as Head, Event Management and Petrotech ISM student chapter
as Head Industrial Relation and organized various events. This experience helped to
develop into a good team player and strategy maker, and helped me to improve my
relation building and management skills and develop a synergistic approach.
I have worked as a Fundraiser and Teacher at Kartavya, I have been consistently
working on new ways to raise funds and started a scheme Sponsor A Child. I also
work on the feedback of Professors and students to improve the atmosphere of
Kartavya.

Also, my involvement in sports and performing my best in there has imparted me with the gift of
strong mindedness and challenge taking abilities.
