Dear Friends & Family,

I hope this letter finds you well and enjoying summer wherever you may be! As many of you
know, I just finished my sophomore year at Wheaton College, and will be entering my junior year in
the fall. It absolutely amazes me that I am halfway done with college, but if the next two years are
anything like the first two, I cannot wait for whats to come.
College has been nothing short of an incredible experience so far, and a large contributor to
this experience has been my time serving in a ministry called Young Life. God has grown me closer
to Him and truly transformed my heart through Young Life, instilling in me a passion for this
ministry that seeks to share the gospel with high school students through relationships.
For the past two years, I have had the privilege of being a Young Life leader at Glenbard
West high school, where I have had the opportunity to form relationships with a group of high school
girls. Last summer, I was able to spend a week at a Young Life camp in Georgia with these girls. At
the end of the week, I spent one on one time with each of them, and it humbled me then, and even
now, to see how the Lord was so clearly working in each of their lives. I was then able to have a bible
study with these girls throughout the year, growing my relationships with them even deeper and
ultimately, deepening their relationships with the Lord.
God has continued to grow my passion for these girls and the ministry of Young Life, which
leads me to the purpose of this letter. I have been given the opportunity to work on student staff for
Glen Ellyn Young Life for the next two years. As Young Life is something I would love to do long-
term, I am so grateful to have this opportunity, and cant wait for what the Lord has in store as I take
this next step. This job will require much of my time, planning, and involvement, but will also allow
me more time to serve and love on high schoolers. I will be working alongside full-time staff
members doing organizational work, preparing meetings, Bible studies, Young Life clubs, and other
things. I will also be leading the Glenbard West team of leaders, seeking to work alongside them in
creating a safe environment to look deeply into Gods Word with teenagers. I am overjoyed to have
this opportunity to further serve and reach out to the students of Glenbard West High School, and
would love for you to partner with me in this ministry.
First and foremost, I humbly ask for your prayer. It will not be possible for me to serve this
semester without Jesus, a prayerful heart, and my communitys support. I also want to humbly ask
you to consider supporting me financially. As this is a staff position, I am responsible for raising my
annual salary of $5,000.00. You can choose to financially support me monthly or through a one-time
gift. A gift of any size is so greatly appreciated. Enclosed is a pledge card where you can indicate
how you would like to support me in this ministry. Ive also included a pre-addressed, stamped envelope
for you to send back. All gifts are tax deductible, and a receipt will be sent upon receiving your first gift.
Please make checks payable to Young Life.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for considering supporting me in this ministry. If you
have any questions regarding Young Life, please feel free to contact me through email or by phone. I
would love to share more about my experience with this ministry with you, and I look forward to
keeping in touch!

In Christ,
