On January 24, 2017, New Trier Township High School District 203 received a Freedom of
Information Act (FOIA) request from you, pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information
Act (the Act) 5 ILCS 140/1 et seq., for the following records:

Request #1: Fees/contracts for 2017 speakers (C Whitehead & A Aydin).

Response: Colson Whiteheads fee is $15,000. Andrew Aydins fee is $5,000.

Request #2: Missing information from pages 85, 102 & 149 from response 1 of
previous FOIA request.
Response: The District reviewed the pages and does not believe any information
was omitted.

Request #3: Cost to NTHS for purchase of books/giveaways/staffing from 2016

contract with Penguin House and if required to do so for 2017

Response: The District was not required to purchase books from speakers for the
2016 or the 2017 seminars. In 2016, the publisher arranged for an
independent bookseller to have copies available for purchase. For
2017, the District purchased copies of March for freshman students
to read in advance of the seminar as part of the English curriculum.

event.
Response: Transportation for Wilkerson was $376.10. Transportation for
Shabazz was $612.10. The cost of meals was $27.97 per person.
