It is said the a teacher affects eternitymakes it possible for the students to

be themselvesand does that from generation to generation.

Few will have the greatness to bend history itself; but each of us can work

to change a small portion of events, and in the total; of all those acts will be

written the history of this generation.

In this background I DR Preeti Bajaj take immense pleasure in inviting our

guest of honor Mr, M.N Vidya Shankar to set the note for the day and give

away the inaugural address. Bf I Cal upon him I would like to read his brief

profile.

M.N.Vidyashankar most recently served as the


Principal Secretary to the Government of Karnataka
and brings over 30 years of rich experience in
management and administration of various
government offices, autonomous bodies, boards
and corporations.

Vidyashakar joined the IAS in 1982 and served


various government departments at the state and
central level before moving on to hold the position
of the Principal Secretary, Department of
Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science
& Technology, Department of e-Governance,
Government of Karnataka. He was also the CEO of
the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board
and has served as the Chief Electoral Officer at
Bangalore.

Vidyashakar holds an M.A in Economics and an


M.Phil. from the Delhi School of Economics,
University of Delhi. He is also a post graduate in
business administration from Harvard University,
USA. He has also received a lot of national and
international recognition for his efforts in
promoting technology and technology based
solutions that transformed human lives and
societies.
