Sorry for being factual. If it makes you feel better, we are located within the Spokane AOR.
We met with(b) and (b) yesterday after finally landing in Spokane (3 hour delay) at the hq building.
(b) asked if(6)we wanted
(6)to grab dinner afterwards and I had to turn him down because I had already
(6)
made plans with my cousin. Not a good way to impress the one person who might pick me up here.
The meeting place and hotel are located in Couer D'Alene, Idaho (about 35 miles outside Spokane). I
won't be back to work in DC until Thursday.

Loren,
During the Ft. Worth meeting a few weeks ago, it was mentioned that SBI was considering contracting
someone to collect existing fencing totals in order to settle any reporting discrepancies between OBP,
SBI and ACE. It was first brought up in reference to Tucson Sector specifically but was then mentioned
that it would be a good idea across the entire SW Border. At a time when you are being passed the
baton from OFAM, I believe this might be necessary so you know exactly what you are inheriting and
we all can be consistent in our reporting to Senior Leadership and Congress. Currently, SBI is reporting
different mileage than what we are showing and the discrepancy will only be more noticeable when we
start constructing PF225 and VF300. We can have our agents re-trimble existing fence coordinates for
verification but I’m sure SBI and ACE will contest the accuracy as they have in the past.
