RE: METANOIA: DAY OF PRAYER, UPDATING AND RENEWAL FOR

ALL OUR PARISH OFFICE PERSONNEL

Last year we gathered all our parish office personnel for a day of prayer, updating
and renewal. About two hundred seven (207) office personnel from sixty five (65)
parishes from all over our Diocese came and participated in what turned out to be a
meaningful and fruitful experience. We hope to do the same again this year and in
fact this time it seems with far greater awareness and consciousness of ourselves as
fellow workers in the vineyard of the Lord and of our interconnectedness as
parishes with each one belonging to one another and ultimately to one and the
same Diocese of Novaliches as a whole, a veritable "communion of communities".

The date we chose and have already announced to you earlier is February 28, 2017.
Significantly this is the Tuesday immediately before Ash Wednesday when this
year's Lent actually begins. It will be a whole day affair: from 7:00AM to 5:00PM.
On this Fat Tuesday (Mardi Gras) we really want to gather all our parish office
personnel; we realize however that it is only with your help and cooperation that
we can do so. Therefore in the spirit of communion, self-sacrifice, and self-giving,
may I ask you to please free your office personnel on this particular day and for
this particular purpose. The venue is the Palace of the Rock of St. Peter's Shrine of
Leaders along Commonwealth Avenue.

Dubbed, Metanoia: A Day of Prayer, Updating and Renewal, we wish to make of

this a graced opportunity for all our parish office personnel to get away for a day
from their parish work and come together purposely to be with the Lord and with
their fellow parish personnel from other parts of the Diocese. On this day we
consent to and allow them to make time for the Lord and for His Church to help
renew their minds and hearts, i.e., to lead them forward and enable them to become
much more aware and conscious of themselves and of their special work; that what
they do and are already doing--if done to the best of their ability and mindful
always of their Christian integrity--they do so and perform that task for the Lord,
and that indeed they work not only in the Church but also for the Church and,
ultimately for the Lord Our God. In that broader spiritual and ecclesial context, we
wish to update them also with the latest developments in our Diocese that impact
on their own work with you and your parish, and, at the end of the day, to help
them renew their personal commitment to Christ Jesus and His Church;
go home and report next day to you with a more fervent desire to be of greater
assistance to you.

For purposes of logistics and in order to help us prepare well in advance the
Certificates of Participation of those who are coming, as well as the corresponding
number of copies of handouts to be made available to them and the quantity of
snacks and lunch to prepare, may we ask you to please fill up the Confirmation of
Attendance Slip below and submit it to the Administration Office on or before
Wednesday, February 22, 2017.
