Dear Mrs. Hanson:

I am very interested in a summer job as a lifeguard at the Northwood Swimming Pool.

With experience from being a lifeguard for three years, I believe that I have a good
foundation, and background for being employed at the pool once again.

My first experience as an employee at the Northwood Swimming Pool was 5 years ago,
working in the basket house, and concession stand. Starting out, that experience gave
me a look into what being a lifeguard was like, and it helped me gain communication
skills with consumers, and coworkers.

After two years as a staff member, I then decided to get certified as a lifeguard. I have
been certified for three years, and have worked at the pool every summer since the
summer of my freshman year of high school. I was recently re-certified in my lifeguard
training, and CPR, and would like to continue my summer job as a lifeguard at the
swimming pool. I really enjoy working with children, and would also be interested in
teaching any level of swimming lessons.

opportunities at the Northwood Swimming Pool for the 2017 summer.
