Dear Mrs. Hanson:

Thank you for the opportunity to meet, and discuss the job opening as a lifeguard at the
Northwood Swimming Pool. I enjoyed meeting you, and learning more about the pool,
and your future plans for the summer of 2017.

I was very impressed with the facilities at the Northwood Swimming pool, and your
commitment to working with the employees for scheduling. Being the summer before
starting college, I will be very busy, and looking for certain days off. I appreciate your
flexibility on the scheduling. I was also impressed with the ways you ensure that your
staff is prepared for any emergency situation, and is ready to help out where they are
needed. The swimming lesson program at the pool is also very impressive. I would look
forward to working with the children involved in that program.

I believe that my experience as a lifeguard in years past will prepare me for the up
coming summer as lifeguard. My training in CPR, and lifeguard skills will ensure that I
will be able to preform my duties to the best of my ability. In addition, my interest in
working with children will be especially valuable while teaching swimming lessons, and
watching over children on their summer days.
