Good afternoon my lecture. In this special occeasion I would like to tell my experience in
doing practice at Tabanan Hospital. But before telling my experience in doing practice at
Hospital I would like to introduce my self. My name is Riskiani, I was born on Januari 17th 1996

Five mounth ago, may 3rd 2016 I was practice in Tabanan Hospital, located in tabanan
regency. Me and may team got practice at dahlia garing ward, its ward which is specially for
interna patient. In that ward I saw so many patient with any diseases like diabetes militus, dengue
fever, Cronic kidney diseases, etc. the first day I felt nervous because I confused what should I
do. Although that teory is already taught by the lecture I still felt so scared, but fortunately the
senior nurses of dahlia garing ward was vey kind and could teach me patiently. That made me to
be a kind nurse like them, because of that I will study harder and practiceharder. When I got
night service , I felt so tired because I just got sleep for one hour. So after I arrived at home I
directly sleep until 11.00 am and than I do something else . I got night service twice for a week,
after I got night service than I got holiday for one day and than I got morning service , In the
morning at the dahlia ward I got the many activity like a checked blood pressure, injection to
patient and many more. I felt so happy when I got injection to the patient.

When I practiced at Tabanan Hospital I stayed at my house in buwit village, because the
distance from my house to tabanan hospital is not too far, its only obout 25-30 minutes. Every
morning service I always on the way on 6.30 am. Afternoon service I on the way on 1.00 pm and
night service I on the way on 6.00 pm

During these practices I made a report concerning treat a patient, This report will be
followed by doing the act of nursing directly applied to patients . In reported it is an academic off
campus will come to hospital To do the lecture , in the lecture we can ask her about the
difficulties experienced when we prepare this report. Sometimes I felt nervous when I lecture
 One thing who made me felt enjoy my practice is talked and asked with patient about
their story because every patient have a different story, thats interested to me. I felt a new
family. Sometimes I was given much food from the patient.

One day, when I was met the patient with cronic kidney diseases, the first met with Mr. T
when I was checked his blood pressure, I try to talked about his feeling, he is cooperative person
when we talked. And then I asked many questions like what do you feel right now? When you
got that the diseases?.. so, he explained his story, he got that diseases since two years ago. But
he never give up about what happened to him, he always has big spirit to fight his disease. When
I listen his story, I felt emphaty and he will be my inspiration.

After that, suddenly he difficult to breath and cant to sleep. Althought that happened he
keep smile on his face and tried to keep his wife to keep calm. Because his wife was panic when
saw her husband difficult to breath. That happened make me proud to Mr. T, and I hope
everypatient in the hospital have big spirit like Mr. T. Every instruction he was follow what I said
to him like a drunk the medicine, checked his blood (hemodialisa), etc. but the other side, I was
remember with my mom because she has same disease with Mr. T.

With another experience, when I got patient with Diabetes Mellitus. When I met with
Mrs. P, she has hurt at her leg. When that happened I was invited with my senior to taking care of
her hurt. I felt scare and shocker when I saw her leg. But my senior has good skill to handle that
diasease and that I will study harder and practiceharder again because I want be a kind nurse to
make patient getting better live,

So many experience I got when practice at tabanan hospital and especially memorable ,
Nor did the senior very friendly and given chance to we to learn about nursing but is fixed in
supervision. Although sometimes senior resent us but i know they have good mean that make we
are strong and kept learning and never to give up, When the last day practices all of we got
morning service because we will implement the event farewell , at 2 p.m , And it was felt sad
because will separate with kind senior nurse and leave the patients every day and will be missed
that moment.

Well I think thats all about my experience in doing practice at Tabanan hospital,
Hopefully, my strory in the other students in telling story of doing practice at Hospital.
