DRESS CODE POLICY

Dress, grooming, and personal cleanliness standards contribute to the morale of all

employees and affect the business image our company presents to customers and

visitors. During business hours or when representing our company, you are expected

to present a clean, neat, and tasteful appearance. You should dress and groom

yourself according to the requirements of your position and accepted social

standards. In addition, Marketing department will not be allowed to wear jeans or

t-shirts etc., only trousers and shirts will be allowed to wear in marketing

department.

The following are examples of items that are not acceptable:


ripped or torn clothing
Colored hair, extreme hairstyle
Slipper or Chappal
sportswear

Incharges/Managers reserve the right to request a staff member to dress to an

appropriate standard as a condition of employment.

If you are in a work environment with inappropriate clothing you may be sent home

to change, before returning to work.

CLOTHING:

Men

As we know first impression is the last impression.

Your attire speaks before you. You should dress up in formal


manner.

Men should wear a well-tailored suit in traditional colors such


as navy blue, charcoal gray or black, in solid or subtle stripe
patterns (e.g., pinstripe). The shirt needs to be a long-
sleeve and button-down, preferably in a solid color such as

white or a light blue. The tie can have a small print or color;
however, its overall appearance should be conservative.

Socks need to be a dark solid or a small pattern. Shoes need


to be leather, and in a wing tip or loafer style. Socks should
be matched with colors paint.

Women

Women should wear a well-tailored suit in colors such as


navy blue, charcoal gray or black. Possible shades of green,

maroon or purple can be worn if the color goes well with


skin and hair coloring, but be cautious of wearing non-
neutral

color pallets. While more conversation workplaces or


industries may still prefer that women wear a dress suit (I.
matching suited skirt and blazer), a pants suit is now also
appropriate for the majority of settings. Skirt lengths always
need to be knee length or slightly below the knee. Blouses
should be cotton, silk or a nice looking artificial fiber in a
conservative color that goes appropriately with the suit.
Wear low to medium leather, heeled shoes. Never wear open
toe shoes. Always wear pantyhose (even in the summer!).

Hair/Makeup

Keep hair nice and neat. Keep hair nice and neat. There is
no specific hairstyle recommended, only that your hair is
clean and well groomed.

Women, wear natural looking makeup that will flatter and


compliment, not overpower, your outfit. For men, beards and

other facial hair should be neatly trimmed. Also be aware


that some industries and organizations may frown on
longhair or facial hair.You should not feel sleepy in the office.
Look energetic,

Nails

Nails should be clean and manicured. Women do not have to


wear nail polish; however, if polish is worn, make sure that

it is a natural, conservative color and not chipping off.

Perfume

Do not wear perfume or cologne as many people have


strong, adverse or even allergic reactions to it.

Jewelry

Wear only a conservative amount of jewelry. Also, wear


jewelry that flatters but doesnt overpower. For example, a
pair

of stud earrings versus chandelier earrings or a gold or silver


band versus a large turquoise ring would be appropriate

choices.

Obey the thirteen rule: no more than thirteen accessory


pieces this includes accessories such earrings rings or
watch, but also accessories we dont typically think about
such as buttons on jackets.
Friday & Saturday Smart Casuals
Ladies Jeans, Corduroys, Sneakers / Shoes/ Sandals, t-
shirts with collar only, and casual tops.
Men Jeans, Corduroys, Sneakers / Shoes, t-shirts with
collar only, Shirts, t- shirts or shirts to be tucked in (Please
avoid sandals, cargos etc..,).

Dress Code Policy


Objective

To portray an image of professionalism and LTL one image in the office.

Applicability

This policy is applicable to all LTL employees excluding Associates


Employees are expected at all times to present a professional, business like image to
customers and to the general public. Radical departures from the conventional dress on
personal grooming and hygiene standards are not permitted.
All employees who are in regular contact with the public must comply with the following personal
appearance standards
1. Employees are expected to dress in a manner that is normally acceptable in
similar business establishments. Employees should not wear suggestive attire,
athletic clothing, shorts sandals, novelty buttons, and baseball hats.
2. Hair should be clean combed and neatly trimmed. Shaggy unkempt hair is not
acceptable regardless of the length.
3. Side burns, moustaches and beards should be neatly trimmed.
4. Tattoos and body piercing should not be visible.
5. Sikh personnel are required to wear a turban.

General Information
All employees are required to wear Uniforms from Monday to Friday.
Smart Casuals (Denims /T-Shirts with collars) are allowed only on Saturday.
Employees who have to interact with clients /Vendors /consultants / Government
agencies will be required to wear formal attire even outside the office premises.
Slippers, sandals and floaters are not allowed at all.

Gents
Uniforms on all days Monday to Friday, Saturday Smart Casuals(T Shirts with
collars and Jeans , No T-shirts without collars )
Need to shave daily.
Ties would be worn at the office; employees at the site office/working on the field
are exempted from wearing the tie.

Lady employees

Formal uniforms are as applicable from Monday to Friday.


Smart Casuals on Saturday
Mini skirts, jogging pants, Capris / three fourth length pants leggings, spaghetti
straps, tube and tank tops are not allowed.

All employees are expected to adhere to the Dress code policy .Corrective action will be
taken if the above code is not adhered to.

It is a generally recognized principle in the world of work that dress is important.
Standards for work attire are set in literally hundreds of occupations. Businesses have
long recognized that the clothing one wears has an effect on both employees and
customers. For employees, a uniform or dress code establishes a sense of unity or
"esprit de corps." It provides a visible and ongoing reminder that each one is part of a
larger group or team. The limits on individual freedoms are considered a worthwhile
sacrifice in order to emphasize the importance of the company and its work. For
customers, the clothing symbolizes professionalism, pride, and dedication. Clothing
both attracts them initially and leads to confidence in the company.

Dress Code
This policy is applicable to all employees of COMPNAY NAME in order to:
1 Maintain COMPNAY NAME culture and office decorum.
2 Portray professionalism as expected in/by the organization.

Guideline
1 Formal Business Wear applies to all personnel on working days, starting Monday
through Friday. Formal ties and Business Suits to be worn appropriately when likely
to be involved in customer meetings, demonstrations or presentations.
2 Informal Business Wear applies to all employees on Saturday & holidays.

While meeting clients and other special occasions, employees may be required to
dress up in full formal wear. The dress code and the dates of such visits will be
announced well in advance vide Official Circulars.
Informal dressing in the following form is not acceptable:
Any apparel with slogans or pictures, shorts of any kind, sleeveless clothes or tops, faded
denim slacks, sweat suits or jogging suits, sundresses, mini-skirts, tank/crop tops, spandex
clothing, leggings, leather vests or pants, mens sandals, tennis/sports shoes, baseball caps
or hats of any kind, torn, faded, un-pressed or distressed clothing of any kind. Maintain your
ideal weight for best demeanor.

Any dress deemed inappropriate or unprofessional will be addressed with the individual by
his/her Manager on an individual basis.
