Thank you for purchasing this Copper Connections product and giving us the opportunity to serve you.
It has been manufactured to stringent quality standards, which makes it highly reliable. Since the
technology used is 100% indigenous, the product is expected to work efficiently in Indian conditions.
While we do not expect the product to malfunction in any manner, nevertheless it carries a 12-months
limited warranty against all manufacturing defects, as per the terms and conditions given in this manual.

INSTALLATION CHECK POINTS


CABLING
(a) All cables of the EPABX should be atleast 6 away from the electrical cables.
(b) They should be away by atleast 12 from the area of high frequencies like tube light chokes, etc. If it is
not possible to avoid, then use shielded cables and earth the shield.

EARTHING
Earth connected to the EPABX should not have more than 5 volts on it.

OPERATING FEATURES
AUTOMATIC CALL BACK ON BUSY EXTENSION
While making an internal call, if the called extension is busy, the user can get connected to the
busy extension automatically as soon as that gets free.
On hearing busy tone, dial 5
Keep the handset down
As soon as the busy extension keeps the handset, both the extensions will ring simultaneously.

CALL CONSULT
An extension user can hold a Junction caller and consult another extension:
While talking to Junction caller, Hook-Flash to hold the existing call
Dial the extension number
When the extension you called, keeps the handset down, press Hook-Flash again to
retrieve the Junction call

CALL INTERNAL
An extension can make a call to another extension.
PROCEDURE
Lift the handset and dial two digit extension number

CONFERENCE
An extension can establish a conference with an extension and a Junction caller.
During conversation with a Junction caller, press Hook-Flash to hold the existing caller
Dial the extension number, whom you want to invite for conference, wait for answer
Press Hook-Flash again to establish a conference

JUNCTION CALL PICK UP


An extension can pick up a Junction call ringing on another extension from his own extension
by dialling 4.

JUNCTION CALL HOLD


An extension can put a Junction call on hold by pressing Hook-Flash. The call on hold can be
retrieved by pressing Hook-Flash again.

REDIAL

A user can redial the last dialled number by pressing

GROUPING
Junction lines can be divided into two groups, 0 or 9 and different extensions can be
programmed to access different Junction groups. Programmed Junction line can be accessed by
dialling 9 by the two defined extensions. An extension can also access both the Junction
groups.

HOTLINE
An extension can be programmed to get connected to a Junction line on lifting handset.

JUNCTION DIALLING CONTROLS


Junction dialling from each extension can be controlled for STD dialling, local dialling, etc.
PROGRAMMING

X=0------for accessing all dialling facilities
X=1------for locking ISD dialling facility
X=2------for locking STD/ISD dialling facility
X=3------for locking dialling facility for numbers beginning with 95
X=4------for locking dialling facility
NOTE: By default extensions are provided with all dialling facilities.

JUNCTION LANDING
IN ROUND ROBIN MODE
A user can program the incoming Junction calls to land on defined extensions in Round Robin
mode.
PROGRAMMING

X = 1-------for 1st Junction line
X = 2-------for 2nd Junction line
E1-----------last digit of 1st extension number
E2-----------last digit of 2nd extension number
E3-----------last digit of 3rd extension number
NOTE: The incoming Junction lines will land on the defined extension in ascending order.

IN ONE TERMINATION MODE


A user can program defined incoming Junction line to land on a defined extension.
PROGRAMMING

X=0---------deactivates one termination mode
X=1---------activates one termination mode
E1-----------last digit of 1st extension number of 1st Junction line
E2-----------last digit of 2nd extension number of 2nd Junction line
NOTE: By default the Junction lines land on the extensions in round robin mode.

JUNCTION LOCKING
A user can program Junction lines, so that only one defined Junction line can be accessed by
the extensions.
PROGRAMMING

X=0-------- both the Junction lines can be accessed by the extensions
X=1---------first Junction line cannot be accessed by the extensions
X=2-------- second Junction line cannot be accessed by the extensions
NOTE: By default both the Junction lines are accessible by the extensions.

PULSE DIALLING
A Junction line can be programmed to be in pulse mode for external dialling. The outgoing
numbers on a defined Junction line will be in the form of pulses.
PROGRAMMING

0------------------Both the Junction lines will be in tone mode
1------------------First Junction line will be in pulse mode
2------------------Second Junction line will be in pulse mode
3------------------Both the Junction lines will be in pulse mode
TERMS OF WARRANTY
Copper Connections warrants that this product is manufactured under stringent quality standards, making it free
from defects in material and workmanship, as per the following terms and conditions:
1. The limited warranty for the system is valid for a period of twelve months from the date of purchase or fifteen
months from the date of manufacture which ever is earlier.

2. The limited warranty extends only to the original consumer/ purchaser of the product and is not assignable
or transferable to any subsequent purchaser/end user.
3. During the limited warranty period, Copper Connections or its authorised service network will repair or
replace, at Copper Connections option, any defective product or parts thereof with a new or factory rebuild
replacement items and return the product to the consumer in working conditions. No charge will be made to
the consumer for either parts or labour in repairing or replacing the product. All replaced parts shall becomes
the property of Copper Connections.

4. Repaired product will be warranted for a balance of original warranty period.

5. Upon request from Copper Connections or its authorised service centre, the consumer must provide
purchase receipt or other information to prove the date and place of purchase.

6. The consumer shall have no benefit or coverage if any of the following conditions are applicable:
a) The product has been subjected to abnormal use, abnormal condition, improper storage, exposure to
moisture or dampness, exposure to excessive temperature or fire etc., unauthorised modifications,
unauthorised connections, unauthorised repairs including but not limited to use of unauthorised spare parts
in repairs, misuse, neglect, abuse, accident, alteration, improper installation.

b) Copper Connections was not notified by consumer of the alleged defect or malfunction of the product during
the limited warranty period.

c) The product was used with or connected to equipment not fit for use with Copper Connections system or
used in other than its intended use.

d) THE SYSTEM IS NOT CONNECTED TO A PROPER EARTH OR INCASE HIGH VOLTAGES APPEAR
ON EARTH.

e) THE DAMAGE IS CAUSED BY LIGHTENING ON EXTENSIONS/ JUNCTION LINES/ OR SPIKES/


SURGES/ HIGH VOLTAGES FROM AC MAIN SUPPLY.

f) Installation is not carried out as per the instructions given under INSTALLATION in this manual.

7. The consumer may contact the authorised dealer to call the service personnel for carrying out repairs or
maintenance and the same would be attended within a reasonable response time assigned to the dealer.

8. The consumer will be billed for parts or labour charges not covered by this limited warranty.

9. If the product is brought to Copper Connections for repairs, after the warranty period Copper Connections
normal service policy shall apply and customer shall be charged accordingly.

10. In no event shall Copper Connections or their authorised dealer be liable for special or consequential
damages or any delay in the performance of this warranty due to causes beyond their control. Copper
Connections shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damage or a loss of anticipated benefits or
profits, loss or impairment of privacy of conversation, work stoppage or loss or impairment of data arising out
of the use or inability to use the product.. Companys liability in no event and under no circumstances shall
exceed the price paid to the company for goods stated in the invoice.

11. Copper connections neither assumes nor authorises any authorised service centre or any person or entity to
assume for it any other obligation or liability beyond what is expressly provided by this limited warranty. All
warranty information, product features and specifications are subject to change without prior notice.

12. Any dispute arising out of this warranty shall be subjected to jurisdiction of the arbitrator within the city of
Delhi.

13. The decision of Copper Connections, on defects, damages etc shall be final and binding on the parties and
no dispute regarding this, could be agitated before any civil court. PART NO. 206EOPRPGM
