Montesquieu is a man of great knowledge. He is a french

Baron
de

Montesquieu invented the separation of powers, or the

three branches of government: executive, legislative, and
judicial. This impacted the 18th century by taking
Monarchy away. It helped declare the law of not having a
lot of power in one individuals hands. The separation of
powers made it so power was spread through three
different branches of dictatorial governments.
Baron de Montesquieu did not impact only the 18th
century, he impacted all the centuries later. He impacted
the U.S. Constitution. Baron de Montesquieu influenced
James Madison greatly in the forming of the U.S.
Constitution. His idea of separation of powers, followed by
checks and balances, got put into the U.S. Constitution
and is what we believe in today.
