SYNTHESIS OF CONTENTS:

ORGANIZATION AND THE NEED FOR MANAGEMENT

Management Level and Skills

1. Technical Skill is the ability to use procedure,

techniques, knowledge of a specialized field.

2. Human Skill is the ability to work with, understand, and

motivate other people as individual or groups.

3. Conceptual Skill is the ability to coordinate and

integrate all of an organizations interest and activities.

It involves seeing the organization as a whole,

understanding how its parts depend on one another,

and anticipating how a change in any parts will affect

the whole.

Organizational behavior is the study and application of

knowledge and theories about how people as individuals and

as a groups acts within an organization.

There are four organizational processes which contribute to

sound and effective organizational performance: leadership,

communication, decision making and organizational

change and development.

Total quality management involves systems, teams, and

tools. Systems and Teams are connected by its refined

culture, Teams and Tools are connected by the effective

communication, while Tools and Systems are connected by

commitment. At the center is the chain or interdependent

relationship between customer and supplier.

In classroom management, it focused on three areas:

instructional, managerial, and physical management. It

includes the management of pupils or students misbehavior,

and how to manage such conflict or misbehavior. There are

ways or techniques to manage students misbehavior first is

non verbal intervention ex. lip signal, touch control,

second, is verbal, then logical consequence.

Quality means survival. Several companies reveal the

reasons of their downfall and their recovery methods or

plans or techniques to compete with the current market. And

the second part is making quality happen by eliminating

common attitudes, do not give yourself a second chance to

redo whatever you intend to do, and application of kaizen.

And last is to apply the eight steps of quality concepts.

REACTION:

In order to become an effective and efficient manager I

must have a big portion in the top level management

schemes especially conceptual skills. I will lead the

organization effectively and produce good output. I must

have knowledge also in technical skills, and in conclusion, as

a manager I must possess all the skills needed in an

organization. As a leader in our community, I can say that I

lacked leadership skills because I do not practice a good

communication with the members of the organization that I

lead. I can say to myself that I am very young in leading a

group, and lack all the requirements needed in running an

organization. I hope that through the knowledge that I get

from this course, I will be a good leader in the future. Total

quality management focuses on customer satisfaction. In

classroom management, the three dimensions must be

aligned, and I need to maintain the momentum throughout

the discussion. Pursuit of quality in producing goods and

rendering services to the customer is the objective of total

quality management.
