RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.

ShoweMe turns your iPad into a personal interactive whiteboard. With ShowMe you can create and share
lesson plans on your iPad. ShowMe is a also an open community to where users can browse through
other peoples videos of screencasts, made by others in every content area.

INTEGRATION/IMPLEMENTATION IDEA - SCREENCASTING

How might you use this resource to promote student learning? Describe who will be doing the
screencasting you or your students, and what purpose it will serve.

I would use this resource to help student learning by making my ShowMe very engaging and extremely
creative. Students need to be intrigued by the video that I make. Adding music, or characters from
present shows, and social media would also be helpful. I want to make these videos something that
every student can relate to. Also, the students can get on this website and see other lessons made on
the exact same topic and view those also. If they necessarily didnt like the video I made, there are
thousands of other videos they can watch about my exact topic.

As a teacher, I would be the one making the screencast/ShowMe. I will also leave a section open for my
students to add anything that they felt I missed. Every student will be getting an iPad, so that they can
individually watch the video I made. Then they will get in groups of four and discuss if there is anything I
missed, and then they will add it in the video.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
Given the information above, how would the technology integration you described, using the
selected resource? (On the Value-Added Rating Scale above)
Explain your rating based on the indicators on the rubric.

I would rate ShowMe a two/three. The reason for giving ShowMe a two is because it does align to content
standards, just like three, and this will definitely enhance a lesson. Having the students more engaged
with technology, along with watching an entertaining video about a lesson, will hopefully get them more
excited about what theyre learning. Having the students actively in a group talking about this video,
and essentially how to make the video better. The ShowMe videos/lessons will be made by the teacher,
and be viewed by the students.
