November 6th, 2015

I have learned many thing since several days ago, among others,
people who will go by bus is waiting in the bus shelter. Because there was
something that he forgot, he came back to the shop and bought something
again. After a while, he entered and bought something and back to the bus
shelter. On the way he back to the bus shelter, he found that the bus will go
and turn on the machine. When this happened, he run to the bus. But,
because of time schedule, the bus already gone. In this time, the bus
suddenly stopped and waiting that people. The people was running again and
finally come to the bus and entered it also say thank you to the driver.
Although time schedule was coming, and the bus just gone. But, the driver
still want to wait the passengers. Although it is already out from the bus
shelter.
In the bus, there is a grandmother entered in bus. Then, because of her body,
it need long time to pass the ticket and sit down. In that time, there is a man
who sit in special chair in the bus change his position to another chair and
help grandmother to her chair.
Still with the same condition, the driver who drove the bus put down the bus
door to make grandmother can enter easily. Then, although it is out of time
schedule, the driver still wait grandmother pass the ticket until she sit down
clearly in the chair. The bus driver saw grandmother from the mirror and
make sure grand mother already comfort in her chair and the bus will go on.
One time, in the bus shelter there are many people who will enter the bus
together. In that time, it has seen the schedule time is over and the bus must
go to the next shelter. But, in this time, the bus driver still waiting with
purposes all people can entered in the bus with pleasure. Consequences with
this event, the bus driver drove the bus with very fast but still not dangerous.
This is happened because schedule time is not change, although the time can
changed. The bus driver choose to drove faster to make time schedule is on
the track.
In the discussing about the assignment, responsibility about the assignment
can be seen with the answer of the question. All people in the room answered
the question is very well and quickly. Besides, all of answers response by
another people, they can answer again with their argue. This is proven that
all people have already ready with their assignment and responsible with
them.

I have learned many thing since several days ago, among others,
Responsibility is very important to make consistency and build trust to
another. For instance in the city of Karlstad there is repairing progress for the
road. This event must takes some store must closed because repairing the
road works in front of their shop. This will make big loss in the shop
automatically if repairing progress is not good or there is delay for the
repairing progress. In this case, people who work for repairing road must
know and respond this with their responsibility in their work to make trust
with the shop owner who struck high losses in ther income.
Making successful in the careers is needed to know about discipline. In the
cases of repairing road, the employee who do this job must implement
discipline as their habit. Every project, like repairing the road is limited by
time. It is because road repairing progress disturb road traffic in that road.
Thus, the planning can be done with discipline in the progress of the project.
This is a basic things that can make project become successful and as
planned before.
Caring to all people can become a norms which can make peace in the world.
Small example has seen in the last day, which there is a woman who buy
things in the store and after she is out of the store, she came back and say
that her wallet is missing. After that, shopkeeper said that there is a man who
find the wallet and take into the shopkeeper. Then, the shopkeeper give the
wallet to her.
Integrity in doing the job is very important for all employee. For instance, the
employees for the restaurant must maintain this value to serve the
customers. Waitress, chef, cashier etc must keep integrity to the customer,
like make sure about the quality of food, dare to admit their mistake and
respond to the customer wants.
Loyalty is a norms or moral decision that very important, especially for the
employee in the company. Loyalty to the company does not means like slave
to their master, but loyalty means faith to the company and always do the
best for all assignment or working progress in the company. A good example
can be seen with all bus driver in Karlstad. Every day when they worked,
loyalty with Karlstadbuss can be seen with their activities which always do
their best thing and always efforts to make customer or bus passengers is
comfort to the bus. This can support positively to the development of public
transport company in Karlstad.

I have learned many thing since several days ago, among others,
Integrity is an important value that must has for all people to maintain other
value. As the company, integrity from the leader or manager, can become
role model for all employee to implement the value. Making good plan, taking
all risks, and good responsibility will become a determinant to make good role
model for the managers. Examples for this takes in Indonesia, in Train
company in Indonesia. In 2010, manager of train company,PT.KAI, Ignasius
Johan takes many changes in public train company. He takes plan to make rail
track is cleaned from all obstacles. Besides, many facilities has built for
perfectly services for the train. Commitment and integrity from the leader
can make significant changes in the system of the company.
Discipline is very good value for reach the goals and plan for the future.
Besides, discipline can make all is perfect. For instance, discipline to come in
the course schedule is important. Based on the calue, discipline will take
advantages to reach knowledge from the lectures. Besides, with discipline to
come the course, we can take perfectly information in the courses.
Loyalty is an important value in the company. Loyalty is not only do all
command from the manager, but protect all data in the company for other
competitor. All privacy in the company must protected with all employees.
Discipline can make all schedule can do with perfectly. All activity plan can do
perfectly with discipline. For instance, in the public transport in Karlstad, all
bus schedule has been secheduled before. Based on this schedule, all bus
driver effort to reach the time schedules. On customer side, time schedule is
important for make satisfaction on the customer basen or service oriented.
Many global issues that happened in the world. One of them is human rights
in the company. The company must fulfill human rights for all employees
although there is crossing or problem like can reduce profit in the company.
For instance, human right for woman, that is pregnancy. Maternity leaves for
woman employee is very important thing, because it is naturally happened
for woman. The company must know and give accommodation for woman
employees to fulfill the needs. For instance, in Facebook company, there is a
law and regulation that woman employees can take maternity leaves if they
are pregnant. There are many weeks that woman employees can took for her
pregnancy, even they are given salaries wheh they takes maternity leaves.

I have learned many thing in a week and today, among others,


Making decision is a crucial thing that have to done managerial system.
There are differentiation between manager and leader, which manager
always has formality position and has sub ordinate to manage all decision. In
leader, just only has follower who will together to take risks for all decision
will be made by the leader.
Making decision always has the process which it means Decision Making
Process. All decision, whatever huge decision which take high risks, and small
decision like decision all people judge everyday. Decision making process is
started from identify the problem, look for possible solution how to solve the
problem, then analyze, can be self analyze or with delegation and others,
then finally the solution will made and act with any consequences with the
decision, because all decision always has effect or consequences to do that.
Making decision is divided two types, autocratic and democratic. In
autocratic, decision will judge only the leader and leaders duty to inform the
decision for every member who will do the decision. Every member must
know what decision means and know about the consequences from the
decision. On other hand, democratic means all decision will discussed first
with other member which joint decision will happen in this discussion.All
member will know about the option with the consequences, then will easier to
do the decision and can make act easily.
Leadership is more important to influence the decision. Every leader must
has follower. Furthermore, all decision from leader must followed by the
follower. Best decision took by leader but no one follow the decision means
nothing.
Decision making concept will define with three types, that is thinking first,
seeing first and doing first. Thinking first concept in decision making process
means that before judge the decision, member think first about the
consequences, step by step to make decision is very clear. This happened
where the decision is huge decision which many risks will be happened in this
decision. Seeing first means before judge the decision, member will imagine
first what will happen if the decision has done. And doing first concept in
decision making process means that member/participants just do the
decision and will take the consequences directly. In general term, doing first
concept will happened in decision which has small risks or it can called
everyday decision.

I have learned many thing in a week and today, among others,


Conflict is naturally happened in the life. There are two types of conflict
based on Friedmann (2000), they are Cognitive-type conflicts and relational
type conflicts. Cognitive type conflicts based on task conflict which task-
related conflicts, which there is incompatibilities related to how assignment
or tasks should be done. In relational type conflicts, problem caused by
emotional incompatibilities and obstructive or interfering behavior. In
researcher view, relational type conflicts can divide by two type again, they
are emotional type conflict and behavior type conflict.
Every conflict has own effect to the life. Many people who in the conflict has
stressfully when solve the conflicts. On the other sides, conflicts will make
changes our life positively. Based on conflicts, step by step it will make
special learning to our life. It will maintain the future conflicts and can solve
the conflicts with easily.
Leader who has duty in the company to manage the company, determine
what will happen and build positive norms in the company. Make problem
solving for all conflict in the company will build positively for the employees
ethical value and behavior. On the other side, many conflicts will reduce
productivity and can disturb many activities, thus managing the conflict is an
important thing to make stabilize for all tasks in the company.
There are four critical factor to support manager solve the conflict, such as,
Northern star which must determine the goals and detail task to reach them,
Conflict Evolvement Map which evolve ourselves to deal with conflict by
conflicts and make changes to solve the conflicts based on experience,
Awareness of the variety of the available response options, and Awareness of
ones personal conflict-resolution style which must know about conflicts style
first to solve the problem.
Conflict itself turns out has different definition based on angle of description.
For instance Rahim (1983) in Saeed et al (2014) stated that conflict is an
interactive process manifested in incompatibility, disagreement, or
dissonance within or between social entities (individual, group, organization,
etc.).Other side, Marquis and Huston (1996) told about conflict definition as
the internal discord that results from differences in ideas, values, or feelings
between two or more people. All definition can be different based on their
discipline and angle of description.

I have learned many thing since several days ago, among others,
Many changes in the business world since two decades ago. Many financial
crisis, scandals, and other conflict that pressures the company to make
changes in their business. Many investors decline for their funds because of
the scandals or financial condition in the company. On the other hand, many
companies is starting to develop and become higher. The changing trends
today force company to take the decision to make successful and sustainable
company for the future.
Corporate governance has many concept to define it, among others
Corporate governance as agency theories, transactional cost economics,
stakeholder theory, Stewardship theory, Class Hegemony and Managerial
hegemony.
In the agency theories, Corporate governance define relationship between
the owner and the director is like principal and the agent ( in corporate
perspective).In transactional cost economies, corporate governance see the
company as governance structure. Thus, option to appropriate them will help
corporation reach their goals. In stewardship theories,corporate governance
see that directors is the steward for the company. Thus, all of director act will
affect the interest for the shareholders.
Integrity and transparency from the system will become an important parts to
reach corporate governance. Responsibility from the management to the
shareholders affect all interest between them. Transparency, like in the
reporting means that company must take all information and strategies to the
shareholders and other stakeholders to ensure interest between them and
prevent the company from the conflict or crisis.
Participation from all components of the company determine how effective
corporate governance reached in the company. More awareness from the
CEO, board of director, manager, and employees, even more from
shareholders will develop corporate governance as well as their targets or
objective. Tools that can support them is making a contract to all components
so they can responsible and reach their awareness to the company.

I have learned many thing since several days ago, among others,
Corporate Governance code is the problem solving for the company to
protect them from the crisis. There are big financial crisis in 2007-2008 that
affect for a lot of company in the world. Many investors pull back their
investment and the company must take other method to ensure that. Beside
that, many scandals, conflict of interest that affect more significantly in
corporate governance in the company.
Corporate governance code consists of the board of system that valid in the
company. There are two big board system in the world, theyare unitary board
system and dual board system. Unitary board system means the company
just has both executive board and non executive boards that manage the
company together. All responsibility of the company, whether for the
shareholders or stakeholders is in the board itself.Dual board system is a
system of board that every company has two management, they are
supervisory board and boar of director itself. Adding supervisory board in the
company intended for control and evaluate the board of director when they
doing their tasks in the company, like make decision and control the
company. As the supervisor, there is not their tasks to control until deeply for
the company.but they just control the board of director and responsible to the
shareholders when there is a meeting between the company and the
shareholders.
Unitary board system has been applied by the company which has placed in
the big country like United Kingdom )England) and United States(America).
Dual board system has been applied too on many countries, like Denmark,
Austria, Germany etc.
Based from corporate governance 2.0.There are three principle for the
company to apply the corporate governance,they are Boards should have
rights to manage the company in long term, then boards should install
mechanism to ensure the best possible people in the boardroom and
shareholders should have an orderly voice.
Beside all of strategy from the company to protect them from the crisis in the
future happened in the company, Business ethics like transparency,
responsibility, and accountability still become an important thing in the
company to reach their goals and good corporate governance.

I have learned many thing since several days ago, among others,
Every nation must have at least single code of conduct in its country . It is
purposed to protect and prevent the company from scandals, like corruption
etc. Thus, this code has purposed to investors to prevent their interest in the
company.
Shape or structure in the board system affects all system in the code of
conduct. Indonesian code of conduct manage that Indonesian has dual board
system, among others board of director and commissioner board as the
supervisor. This is basically happened with fairness and responsibility
principle in Indonesian code.
Integrity in the code of conduct affect significantly in sustainable code of
conduct in the company or nation. All of code will normally did with integrity
as the foundation. All people, no exception with that, must apply integrity as
their principle.
