Purpose of the Course The aim of instruction is to introduce older adults to the basics of the Latin
dances Merengue, Bachata, and Salsa so they may enjoy the physical,
mental and social health benefits of this fun partner dance form.

Domains: Cognitive: Application

Psychomotor: Complex Overt Response (Expert)

Audience Description Older adults aged 48 and older who want to have fun when they exercise;
like to exercise to music; prefer exercising in groups rather than exercising
alone; and prefer active social gatherings.

Major Course Identify the music of the Latin Dances: Merengue, Bachata, and Salsa.
