Serbian First Lady, Ms. Dragica Nikoli, established the humanitarian Foundation Dragica Nikoli in January 2013, wishing to
revive the spirit of charity and philanthropy among the Serbian people and to focus attention on Serbias greatest treasure, its
children.
The Foundation carries out activities aimed at advancing social and health protection, promotion and enhancement of culture,
promotion and popularization of science, education, art and amateur sports, promotion of the status of the physically challenged,
care of children and youth, elderly care, environmental protection and other activities.
The primary objective is to provide the appropriate conditions for safe deliveries of babies by renovating and equipping
maternity units, in addition to building new facilities, in order to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates during childbirth.
Also, the Foundation supports the most successful Serbian students, children with psychophysical impairments and socially
underprivileged children.
This is the only part of the projects in the area of humanitarian work where the Foundation deals.
