Samvits MBA Tip

I would say treat the info sessions as an actual interview and
be well prepared with specific questions, not generic ones. Its
also your chance to make an impression with them. Make sure
you dress the part, in formals. Carry out a lot of research,
speak to alumni, professors and get all the details you can. For
the GMAT, Crackverbal is the best, you wouldnt need anything
else and the program is more than enough. For the
applications, keep aside a lot of time to prepare for them.

Sachins MBA Tip

For GMAT Verbal, I would say that all the questions have a
standard approach. If you familiarize yourself with that, the
hurdle with Verbal could be managed.
When it comes to applications, know your story well. Structure
it well and be sure of why youre doing this. Its important to
know why youve chosen a particular school and how their
MBA can help achieve your goals.

Avinashs MBA Tip

This exam is beatable with the right approach. The things that
helped me improve were having a good timing strategy,
working on areas of weakness, and answering the questions
calmly. Knowing when to take the practice tests also helps
because these tests are fairly accurate. I would suggest taking
the last exam approximately a week before the actual exam.
This way, you can always postpone the GMAT if you find that
your score isnt what you need it to be.

Jyotis MBA Tip

A lot a schools ask what you consider your weakness is. Here,
try to put it in a way that shows you are not only aware about
your own flaws but are actively working on them as well.

Again, dont pick such a major flaw that the school thinks you
are unfit to join, but pick something which can be changed
and improved upon.

Rituparnas MBA Tip

I think its very important to keep your profile as genuine as

possible. The Adcom is used to seeing bluff masters. Be
credible for the information you give out on your essays and
interviews. Its what one values and how proactive he is to
make difference in that area of interest. Find out what you
care about and contribute to it.

Kaushiks MBA Tip

GMAT is a unique exam its beauty lies in its questions

as much as its algorithm. I spent a significant amount of
time researching the algorithm and the way the exam
works, and I think this helped me a lot. You need to
understand what the exam is testing, how it is testing
it, and how best do you approach a problem.

Amiyas MBA Tip

I would strongly recommend all my fellow GMAT aspirants to

refer and practice questions only from the Official guide. Also,
the strategy to get a great score on the GMAT is to be able to
identify and eliminate the wrong options. Spend enough time
and practice on understanding the concepts tested on the
GMAT test. You have only 1 minute to solve a question, hence
a good knowledge of concept is necessary.

Subhankars MBA Tip

I would like to say is there is no substitute for hard

work, the only substitute is youre really smart. You
need to compensate for your weakness. If I could do it
with 10 years of work ex, a family and a kid on the way
I think anyone can. The whole I dont have time
excuse is nonsense. If you sleep for 2 hours less each
day, youll be able to do it.

Harshas MBA Tip

Essays can be quite confusing when you start out. I

took a period of 2 months to pull off all my
applications. My advice to all applicants would be to
devote atleast 2 weeks to each college application.
That way you can ensure that your essays are personal,
specific and unique.

Niladris MBA Tip

Firstly its important you take the GMAT immediately and not
delay the process. My perspective on the GMAT is a bit
different, I feel its an exam where they set some traps an you
need to learn how you can avoid those traps. Secondly,
while choosing schools be a bit pragmatic. I had a 750 so I
chose the top 10 colleges for my first round. In the long run I
think that affected me, I feel I should have applied to the top
15-20 itself in the first round. I feel had I done this I would
have gotten a better scholarship too.
