Abstract:W ang Zi - jin thinks that scholars in the Han dynasty had many opportunities to go into govern2
m ent affairs through which they could become government officials. W u W en - ling thinks that emperors
had two reasons for rem itting punishm ents: one is to balance powers from all levels so as to m ake political
life return to a normal way, and the other is to adjust the powers of m inisters to keep balance. Zhao Kai
thinks that the methods of refuting rumors to relieve p ressure include telling the truth, giving inverse evi2
dence to m ake things clear, actual action instead of interp retation, hiding the truth, or even cheating.
Dang Chao thinks that rectifying incorrect custom s is an important way to control society and culture. In
talking about politics, its main contents included the argument, criticism and guidance of custom s, and
in daily adm inistration, incorrect custom s could be rectified through observing custom s and political edu2
cation.
