As the Serbia country manager, Marko was easily the most effective within my region (Europe, Middle
East and Africa). He also enjoyed more hands-on experience and broader, more detailed training.
He was not only responsible for security at the company's factory in Nis but also for supply chain and
distribution within country. I found him to be right on top of every problem area. He was able to analyse
the security requirement and develop an innovative approach to negate problems. A graphic example of
this concerned a gang of armed robbers in Belgrade who had successfully mounted a number of
cigarette robberies targeting deliveries to vendors. Marko analysed the company's MO, the gang's MO
