so heyo peeps, back wid my second legit non drawing blog.

being a hindu myself i

felt this urge to have a discussion on a topic about how my relegion, hinduism
influenced kishimoto. the first time i comleted reading/watching naruto i did fe
el nostalgic here and there. so after rereading and collecting my data on this t
opic im here to present my conclusions.
hinduism and buddhism have played a vital role in infusing the concepts like ch
akra, asura, indra etc.
so today ill take up the talk on another level unveiling the concepts shown in n
aruto and there significance in the hindu culture.
1) chakra- to start off, the whole manga revolves around shinobis, ninjas and th
eir strengths. but where do yo they get these powers to fight from? yes its basi
cally the chakra.it is the core of the story. the manga deals with the varieties
of chakra natures which has interlaced with the hindu mythologies really well.
The word chakra is derived from the sanskrit word for wheel or turning . The human su
btle system is a vastly convulted, made up of thousands channels which carry ene
rgy throughout the body. The concentrations of the energy in the subtle system a
re called chakras or energy centers.
There are seven chakra gates in the Hindu yogic tradition. But Masashi Kishimoto
introduced an eight gate. Gate of death. If you remember, Kishimoto invested gr
eat amount of time in the initial chapters to explain us the intricacies of chak
ra and how chakra is molded to create numerous techniques. No technique is indep
endent of chakra.
2)diedra's technique C4 - We all can recall the time when Deidara fought Sasuke
and he pulled out his trump card, the C4 Garuda. The name of this technique has
been inspired from a mythological bird in Hindu and Buddhist mythology, which is
named Garuda. according to hindu mythology when lord rama was entagled within a
den of snakes, garuda or the eagle came to his rescue. similar to the battle of
sasuke and diedra isnt it?
3) the power of the eye- so the manga has made use of occular powers to its max.
the entire ucchiha clan were known for their eye prowess. the secret technique
of amaterasu is highly influenced from the powers of lord shiva's third eye whic
h is known to maserate even the largest of the evil. though this concept has a j
apanese tatse to it too(not gonna tread away from the discussion). so you all kn
ow kyaguya no? ofc you do wut a joke. her third eye is similar to that of lord s
hiva placed on their foreheads.
4) the realm out of life and death- so we all do remember nagato and obito using
the technique for revival of the dead. If you were heeding attention to the sub
titles like me. View the translations yourself, Rinnegan is literally translated
as "Samsara eye". Samsara or sansara refers to the cycle of birth and death in
the scriptures of Hinduism. As you can see, Nagato or as we all prefer calling h
im "Pein", owns the ability to exchange the death of one to offer another "rebir
th".
5) The Six Paths of Pain- All of the Six Paths bear the names of Samsaric Realms
of Reincarnation, which are as follows. The six domains of the desire realm rel
ate to the Rinnegan s Six Paths perfectly, as described by Nagato:
1. The God (Deva) path
2. The Demon (Asura) path
3. The Human path
4. The Hungry ghost (Preta) domain
5. The Hell (Naraka) domain
6. The Animal Path
6) the summon of hiruzen- yes im talkin about enma. in a buddhist translation en
ma is known as yama or the one of presides over life and death. enma closely res
embles hindu diety hanumana, who is known to have lifted a mountain single hande
dly and can change his built and size. toconfirm enma's strength didnt he push b
ack kurama out of the village with his staff which elongated?
now saving the best for the last...
something totally copied from the hindu manuscripts with reversal of roles
7) indra and ashura- the two sons of hangomoro. they who died but their wills pa
ssed down to the new generations. talking in detail now..
so sasuke/madara/indra ofc were shinobis that have being seen as the antagonists
until the end. they were known to posses a variety a chakra natures, more of th
e fire and the lightening types. they are in close relation to the hindu beliefs
of what ashuras or demons are. demons yes those filthy creatures with tainted s
ouls engulfed in darkness.its a complete paradox with the facts that scriptures
tell us. indra is a god or deva and known to bring peace to the huumanity.
naruto/hashirama/ashura are shinois born wid low abilities but who honed their s
kills and became the stongest throughfriendship and bonds. but as told through f
olklores ashuras are evil species. so wat is with this contradiction?
in short ashura=evil demon, indra=diety
so did kishi forgot to do his homework? or was it conspired by our player aizen
senpai? xd. what do you feel about this? do write it in the comments.
im out!!! until next time minna!!
