Set forth below is recordable injury and illness data for the Unified Command response to the

Deepwater Horizon Gulf of Mexico incident. Response workers have had both non-recordable first aid
cases and recordable injuries and illnesses. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration
(OSHA) regulations concerning recordability found at 29 CFR Part 1904 were followed in determining
whether an injury or illness was considered to be recordable or a first aid case. This data covers the
time frame from the beginning of the response on April 22, 2010 up to the present. Some of the
incidents represented by the data below are still being investigated and are subject to future changes.
The Unified Command will update this data when additional information becomes available.
At this time the Deepwater Horizon response is being managed out of the following locations:
New Orleans, Louisiana, Houma, Louisiana, Houston and Mobile, Alabama. This data is reported
separately for each of these sites, and some of the injury and illness data below is presented for the
sites individually.
This log covers occupational injuries and vehicle accidents that incident response workers have
reported in the course of their work to respond to the Deepwater Horizon incident. It does include
reports by persons employed by local, state or federal government agencies. It does not include
reports of injuries arising during or from the incident.
