APPLICATION AND USE

Preparation STEEL Degrease by wiping with Fiberglass Solvent Wash 202 using "2 rag method". Gritblast to SSPC-SP10(Sa2)-
near white metal surface. If gritblasting is not possible, grind the metal surface with 24-36 grit abrasive discs to a
uniform, clean, bright metal surface 2-3mils (50-75-microns) anchor pattern to an ST2 standard. For blasted areas, the
primer should be applied before oxidation occurs. If oxidation does occur, the entire area should be reblasted to the
specified standard above. Surface must be clean and dry prior to application of Interplate 937.
Method A power agitator should be used to mix both the individual components and the mixed paint prior to use. Add Part B to
Part A slowly and allow to mix for at least 5 minutes, seive through a 30-60 mesh screen before use. Continue stirring
during use.
Hints Thinner GTA820, GTA840.
Thinning Thinning is not recommended. Use GTA820 or GTA840 in exceptional circumstances only (max 15% by
volume).
Airless Spray Tip Size: 0.38-0.53 mm/15-21 thou. Total output fluid pressure at spray tip not less than 60-100 kg/cm
(850- 1400 psi).
Conventional Spray Thinning may be required to achieve atomisation.
Roller Recommended for small areas only. Multiple coats may be required to achieve specified film thickness.
Some Important Points Drying times will depend on the substrate temperature and ventilation conditions. If the relative humidity is below 50%
cure will be retarded. Interplate 937 is not recommended for manual spray application. Do not apply more than
recommendedWFTatanyonetime.Substratetemperatureshouldbe3C/5Fabovedewpointtopreventcondensation.
For optimum application properties bring the material to 21-27C/70-80F,unlessspecificallyinstructedotherwise,prior
to mixing and application.
Compatibility/Substrates Suitable for application to correctly prepared steel.
