Overview of Feature Activation Guide

RANFeatures are classified into basic and optional features. Basic features are not license-controlled and
therefore do not require license activation before use. Some optional features are license-controlled and
therefore require license activation before use. If the Configuration Method column for a basic feature in
the RAN basic feature list is None, enabling this feature does not involve any configurations. If the
Configuration Method column for an optional feature in the RAN optional feature list is None, this feature
is enabled once it is activated.
Table 1 lists the RAN basic features. Table 2 lists the RAN optional features.
