T3 PROJECT
A Person I Admire
Reading: Stand presentation
WRITING SPEAKING
LISTENING
Ss must be given instructions this week, so they can start getting ready.
1. Description: Students will describe the person using relative clauses, adjectives, superlatives.
2. Experiences and achievements: What amazing / good / bad experiences has this person had? What has
he/she accomplished in life?
3. Childhood/early years: What did s/he used to do as a child? What did his/her parents let him/her do?
4. Favorite food: What is a special dish / snack this person likes? What are the ingredients? How is it
prepared?
5. Future plans: What are this persons plans for the future? What do you think he ought to do?
Stand Presentation
Ss will be required to, first of all, prepare a stand in groups of 3 or 4.
Remember to emphasize that they are not allowed to display complete pieces of text but just headlines
or bullets and visual aids.
The teacher has to monitor the stand preparation and give feedback on the previous classes so that the
final draft is neat. If Ss bring snacks or souvenirs to treat the visitors, that will be part of the PrPr
grade (roster).
The summary should include the 5 following topics about the person they admire with all the
information they have come up with (so Ss must know they have to be familiar with all this information).

Ss have to use the grammar and vocabulary form units 1 to 11. Teachers should provide students with
language chunks taken from the book so that students have an idea of what they are supposed to say. We
suggest that you prepare some slides to show them.
We will use the previous class to the actual presentation for a so called rehearsal. Ss have to be ready
beforehand and teachers shall give feedback on their vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation, so remind Ss
to bring all the information they have gathered and their stand for their oral presentations.
Each student will choose one (or two) of the 5 topics mentioned above. Remember students are not
allowed to read, so stands cant display too much text.
The day of the presentation, a teacher and all his/her students will visit another teachers class to
listen to the presentations for 40 minutes and vice versa for the next 40 minutes. Guest students will walk
around the classroom while the host students will talk about the people they admire. The guest teacher has to
listen to every groups presentation and will grade the hosts Ss.
We will be sending a schedule for you to be informed on who will visit whom first. Please, make the
necessary arrangements for everything to go smoothly.
Listening
Teacher asks FOUR (4) questions to each student during the oral presentation
