Re: _______________-

Dear Ms or Sir:

I am pleased to recommend Kristina-Yi (Nina) Saw for a teaching position in your school
system.

Nina is currently a graduate student at Radford University and will complete a Masters
degree in Education with a concentration in Early Childhood Education in May 2017.
Nina graduated from Radford University in May, 2016 with a BS degree in Early
Childhood Education/Early Childhood Special Education, and she will qualify for
licensure in both of those areas on her graduation in May, 2017. Her undergraduate GPA
was consistently higher than a 3.0 out of a 4.0, as she was included in the Deans list from
2014 through 2016, during which years she was also a member of Kappa Delta Pi-
educational honors fraternity. Ninas graduate course work has continued at a high level
of performance.

Ninas work experience includes working as a multi classroom teacher at Minnieland

Academy from April of 2012 until August April 2016. While at this job she was given the
opportunity to work on creating developmentally appropriate activities that promoted
positive peer and adult relationships in a four-year-old classroom. She has volunteered in
inclusive as well as self-contained classrooms at Ashurst Elementary School in Quantico,
Virginia in 2013. From this experience, she learned about different special education
models.

C clearly demonstrates a commitment to her chosen profession, and leadership qualities

in all that she does. She has nearly completed four of her four teaching internships with a
high degree of success and has demonstrated excellent teaching and collaborative skills in
these experiences.

I was Ninas academic advisor, course instructor, and soon will supervise her Early
Childhood Special Education student teaching. I have witnessed her dependability and
work ethic, and I would not hesitate to hire Nina for any teaching position in a school
setting.

If there are any questions you would care to ask me, please feel free to contact me at
kahoover@radford.edu at any time.

Sincerely,

Kathryn Hoover, Ph.D.
