Rotating Support for cylinders

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION:

IST Parts Washer is a machine capable to wash printing press parts such as ink tanks, ink trays and other parts
dirty with solvent based inks.

The quick and easy wash operation allows press operators to focus on press make ready functions and thus
reducing the changeover time and the labor involved in washing.

The machine offered is made to perform a timed washing cycle and then, pushing the proper button on the
control panel, a rinsing cycle using distilled solvent from an external drum. Our solvent recovery system permits
to recycle and reuse the washing solvent again and again.

Safe, Quick and Easy Washing:

1. Place the parts into the machine


2. Set required washing time (about 20 min) and press start
3. Washing solvent is sprayed over the parts
4. At the end of the washing cycle the solvent is drained back to the service tank for re-use.
5. Pressing rinse button the machine performs the rinsing cycle (Optional)
6. Start the suction cycle with the Ventuiri Exhaust System

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION:

Solvent reclaimer IST 90 equipped with vacuum is able to recycle your dirty solvent with a productivity of about
25-30 l/h.

WORKING PROCESS:

1) The operator brings the dirty solvent drum and the clean solvent collection tank close to the recycler;

2) START : The machine fills the distillation tank with dirty solvent automatically using the recycler loading

pump;

3) Then, the machine heats up and makes the distillation cycle;

4) At the end of the cycle (about 4 to 5 hours) the machine stops alone;

5) The operator can transfer the clean solvent from the vacuum tank into the clean solvent drum;

6) The residual (if fluid) can be drained from the 3 valve or (if solid) by tilting the machine and opening the lid
according to the procedure explained below.

Solid residual discharge:

Switch off the power supply to the reclaimer , open the tank lid (5),by means of the locking knob (G), place a
suitable container below the system, turn the rotation wheel (10), allow the reclaimer body to turn so that the
residues flow into the container, and then restore the reclaimer to the vertical position.

If residue-collecting bags are used, the residues


remain inside the bag itself, so it is necessary to:
- remove the bag-holding ring;
- turn the reclaimer through 90;
- take the bag containing the residue out of the
tank.
Fluid residual discharge:

Place a suitable container below the system, turn the lever (A), and the
residues flow into the container, and then turn off the tap and take off the
lever.

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION:

The distillation units type IST recover solvents contaminated with different kind of pollutants.
The material to be distilled can be automatically filled into the distillation vessel in batch quantities.

The heating jacket is loaded with mineral thermal oil used as heat transfer medium and its designed with extra
room for oil expansion. A specific feature of the software can detect eventual lack of oil. Explosion-proof electric
heaters are installed in the heating jacket and immersed in the oil. The low specific heat (W/cm 2) ensure long life
to the thermal oil.

After starting the machine, the solvent is automatically loaded into the kettle (if equipped with AUTOMATIC
FILLING SYSTEM). The correct filling level is ensured by a maximum level sensor, installed on the top of the tank.
A time limiter avoids overfilling of the kettle in case of malfunctioning of the level sensor.

The heating temperature is controlled by the thermocouple T1. The heating stops in case the oil temperature
exceeds of more than 20C the set one.
The vessel is insulated with fireproof rock wool.

The steam temperature is controlled by the thermocouple T2: it is used to understand when the unit starts to
produce solvent; also, it can be used to automatically stop the distillation process. With this feature, the residue
can be reduced largely without supervision. The system takes advantage of the fact that, during the final phase
of distillation, the steam temperature T2 decreases steadily, due to the decreasing solvent content in the residue.
If the steam temperature falls below a set value, the heating shuts off automatically, and the unit starts a cooling
cycle in preparation of residue discharge.

Solvents vapors can be condensed with an air-cooled condenser or with a water-cooled one. The solvent outlet
temperature is constantly monitored by the thermocouple T3, used to switch off the heating if a set outlet
temperature is exceeded.

The residue is normally discharged thanks to a 3 ball valve installed laterally (as option); at the end of the
cooling cycle, the valve can be opened by the operator to let the residue come out.
The unit is mounted on sturdy supports; the standard versions are designed to allow the discharge of residues
into a standard 30 liters container; on request, the height of the unit can be modified to a higher version for
residue containers as 200 liters drums.

Process temperatures (T1, T2 and T3), as well as the time left until the end of the cycle, are constantly displayed
on the touch screen PLC. The PLC is enclosed into an ex-proof box mounted on board, avoiding any extraordinary
installation and allowing a fast installation with Plug & Play Technology.

2st Boiling Point

In case of special solvent blends with different boiling points, the


cycle can be operated at 9 different heating settings. The PLC
will automatically jump from the first temperature to the second 1st Boiling Point
(higher) and so on, every time the previous step is completed.

This function allows the proper recovery of mixtures of


solvents with very different physical properties.

MANUAL LATERAL DISCHARGING VALVE

A 3 ball valve mounted laterally on the front side of the


kettle.
At the end of the process, it is possible to unload the
residual sludge without opening the cover, simply opening
the valve and tilting the machine to help the residual flow.

AUTOMATIC SOLVENT LOADING SYSTEM WITH 1/2 PUMP

It includes:
- the loading device (can be either a pneumatic
pump or the installed vacuum generator)

- a suction pipe for standard 200 l drums and IBC


tanks

The level of the solvent admitted into the distillation


tank is controlled by a level control, which stops the
loading by closing the inlet valve. An electronic safety
timer performs a double check during the loading phase.

This means that manual filling by hand is not


necessary
