She instinctively knew her little girl was in trouble so she rang the school to see if I had arrived and then called my father. A friend located her and told her to come to the scene of accident. As my mother passed a police officer, he pulled her aside and told her to be strong. Dad arrived and both he and Mum spoke 20 to me before I was airlifted to hospital, over 80km away. 5 Itwas eight hours before my parents saw me again in the intensive care unit.
