CONCLUSION
CONCLUSION

Design methods, based on EC3 and EC2, are presented to

check the resistance of pinned column base joint for
different internal forces (compression/tension/shear).

The bending resistance and initial rotation stiffness of rigid

column base joint are determined considering T-stubs in
tension and compression.

These methods are based on the component method of EN

1993-1-8. The different components are: anchor bolts in
tension and/or shear, bending of base plate, base plate in
compression with concrete, welds.
