Maritime English by Cecilia R. Velez, Ed. D is a textbook specially

The book Maritime English by Cecilia R. Velez, Ed. D is a big help in

given to topics like shipping, navigation techniques and instruments, voyage
description, weather conditions, ship identification, ship structure, safety

As a student of a maritime university, aiming for goals that will help and
nourish me, this book helps my communication skills to be better and to

implementing the requirement of the STCW. It will assist instructors in

masters, and other maritime people.

Reading this book helped me improve my verbal ability and critical

thinking skills when it comes to the Maritime language. English is the
language of science, of aviation, computers, diplomacy, and tourism.
Knowing Maritime English increases our chances of getting a multinational
company within our school or finding work from other places that is related to
maritime industry since they always use maritime language when doing
interviews. I strongly recommend my fellow senior high school students to
read this book because not only it teaches us about maritime language, it
also makes us prepare for our future interviews and company
recommendation.
