What are media?

Instruments or technical means intended for trasminsión information: radio, TV,


newspapers, etc.. But they are also a means of encouragement to consumption, tra
nsmission and generation of desires, behaviors and attitudes.
What is advertising?
Advertising is the branch of social communication sciences whose primary objecti
ve is to persuade or convince the public to buy certain products, whether or. Fo
r this persuasion, advertising strategies and stylistic devices used to present
what is billed as something necessary for the consumer. The advertisers offer ad
vertising space in exchange for a sum of money.
Arises why advertising?
Born through the need to advertise that they had the new industrial products of
the nineteenth century.

What can we find the advertising media?

Print media: magazines, newspapers, pamphlets, posters, peoples, fences, etc. Me


dia: TV, film, Internet, mobile phone.
What are the goals of advertising?

To publicize a product, brand or company identify the characteristics of product


s, brands and companies differentiate the product / brand / company of others on
the market Influence purchase behavior and consumption of the target population
raises the need to prove the product / brand / company favorably compared to Pr
epare product / brand / company Condition consumer preferences towards the produ

Do you know what surreptitious advertising?

Is to show a product in a sequence of a film or a TV show very subtle. A particu


lar case of this is the association that the public makes of celebrities (actors
, athletes, ..) and the products used or advertised.
And what subliminal advertising?
It is considered subliminal advertising that presents the consumer with a produc
t or service so mild or brief that is not consciously perceived and takes him to
consume or use it without knowing the reasons
You can see how in certain sporting events million viewers receive these product
s marks painted on fences, vehicles, candles, etc..
What is a stereotype of beauty?
Throughout history the concept of beauty has changed. For example in the 60 wome
n were considered attractive broad-hipped, wasp waist and fair skin, there is no
w a very different stereotype: tall, very thin, brown skin, etc.
Stereotypes are images or ideas or representations that a social group has of an
other. They are widespread and contrasting opinions.
Some of the ads you see are usually reported by discriminatory towards women, ch

Description of what you see:

What kind of image is: photography, drawing, etc Full and angulation of the imag
e. Description of what you see in the image. What colors are used and why (remem
ber the symbolism of color) do you differentiate textures. Text: describes if th
ere is a slogan, or explanatory text of the product. Product or Logo: if one of
these two elements indicate where they are.

Ideas that transmits the announcement:

Reflect on the audience for whom the ad. What an idea trying to convey, or what
quality associated with the product. What values transmitted.
