At the start of season
IS PREPARING THE POOL FOR THE WINTER PAST
1 Clean the walls and bottom of the glass. 2 If necessary, this is the best time
to replace a piece of tile has been discarded or repair any cracks in the glass
material.
3 Check the levels of disinfectant and
pH and use a shock treatment to correct them.
4 Complete the cleaning by applying algaecide
and flocculant dissolved in water around the perimeter of the pool.
If you miss a SUITABLE WINTER
1 Empty and clean the pool walls and
background with a descaling. If the pool is tile, try not to use a pressure wash
er.

2 Clean the skimmer, the
filters, inlets, etc.
3 Place the hose at the bottom to
that will be filled. Thus start filling the pool prevents damage to the lining o
f the bottom of the glass.
4 Follow steps 3 and 4 above.

KEYS TO THE MAINTENANCE
Keep water close to the pool, that is, transparent and clean, I regularly requir
ed to perform a series of physical treatments (cleaning and filtering) and chemi
cal (disinfection). 1. For filtration, are needed: a) skimmers and cleaner. b) r
ecirculation and filtering system (through "purification").

2. For disinfection, various chemicals are used: a) Disinfectants: Chlorine, Bro
mine or active oxygen. b) pH regulators: - Lowering pH. - Lifts the pH. c) Compl
ementary products: - Algicide and water softener. - Flocculant. - Removing prepa
rations, cleaning.
A. ELEMENTS OF THE CLEANER AND MAINTENANCE
1 Skimmer
Collect the filtered water to the surface of the pool. Clean the basket weekly.

A
The overflow is an alternative system that collects the water skimmer along the
entire perimeter of the pool. Driving is cleaned once a week.
A
2 Gully
Collect the filtered water to the bottom of the cup and also allows the emptying
of the pool (through the circuit or directly to the drain).
3 nozzle vacuum
Connect the socket to the circuit filter cleaner.
4 nozzle drive
Allows output of the sewage water to the pool.
5
6
7 Prefilter + Pump + Motor
Enables the transport of water in the circuit. Clean the prefilter weekly and fo
llow the maintenance provided by the manufacturer.
September 8 6-way valve + Filter
The filter allows the removal of solids and some of the particles in suspension
from the pool. The valve controls the different functions of the circuit (descri
bed in the next section of that tab). Wash and rinse out the filter once a week.
Check valves monthly. Once a year, verifying the level of filtering and de-scal
e bed with a weak acid. Change the filter bed every 4-6 years. www.leroymerlin.e

10 Electrical cabinet
Enables the automation of the operation of water filtration system.
11 Flexible PVC Pipe
Connect all the circuit elements and also allows the drainage of the pool.
B. DISPOSAL OPERATIONS AND WATER FILTRATION
Through six key ways you can select the various maintenance operations. Here are
the features and frequency with which you perform them:
FILTER: Allows operation of purification system (water enters through the skimme
rs or overflow and the cleaner). Every day during the bathing season. WASH O bac
kwash: Used to clean the filter. Once a week or so or when filtration is not don
e correctly.
CLOSED position must hold the key to the circuit is at rest. That is, if you're
not performing any function.
RINSE: It is done after washing or backwash and serves to complete these operati
ons.
DRAIN OR DRAINAGE: Allows you to drain water from the pool. If you make a proper
winter storage, simply drain the pool once every six years. Otherwise, you have
to do each season.
DISPOSAL OR BY-PASS: Allows P to verify the operation of the circuit without the
water recirculating through the filter.€Only occasionally is used when, for som
e reason, it is necessary to check the status of the circuit.

COUNCIL
The cleanup of solid start with the daily use of skimmers. So it is very conveni
ent to have one plane (for the most superficial) and another bag contained a hig
her volume.
C. DISINFECTION OF WATER
Prior to chemical maintenance of your pool, it is important that you calculate t
he volume of water it contains. Only then can estimate the appropriate dose of e
ach product. How to calculate the volume of the pool?
One estimate the average depth:
Minimum depth Maximum depth + 2
2 To determine the volume:
• rectangular pools
Volume = Length x Width x Average Depth
• oval pools
Volume = Length x Width x Average Depth x 0.89 coefficient
• round pools
Volume = Diameter x Diameter x Average Depth x Coefficient 0.785

Disinfectants should be presented in different concentrations, application forms
(granules, tablets or liquid) and sometimes accompanied by complementary treatm
ents (multifunction products and products for wintering). This variety of formul
ations allows you to adjust the routine cleaning disinfecting the precise needs
of your pool and what is also important, the amount of time you have available.
So, if you use more concentrated products, will have to make fewer applications
per month. ATTENTION
Chemical treatments should be performed at dusk or at night and following the do
sage instructions and recommendations as applicable (gloves, etc..) That are rec
ommended for each product.
In the following table are shown the chemical maintenance operations required by
the water and the periodicity must be made. Disinfection (Choose only one of th

Daily
Checking the disinfectant level teams analyze and correct application of the app
ropriate dose of immediate-acting product.
Check the pH level and correct it with the necessary regulatory dose in each cas
e. It is recommended to maintain the pH between 7 and 7.4.
Once a week
Replace the disinfectant dose required (in the event that products are being use
d for weekly maintenance, slower action).
After the first application of algaecide in the season, repeat the treatment a w
eek and then every 15 days.
Sometimes, it can cause increased water turbidity, as well as a decrease in the
levels of chlorine and a pH level alteration. The most common causes are: the st
orms, heavy use of the pool, the sudden increase in temperature, etc. Eventually
. To retrieve the correct levels, it is necessary to make an application crash c
hlorine quick action to correct the pH and add liquid flocculant (which removes
the turbidity of the water).

So that it is easier to maintain water quality, should always have at least: - M
ultifunction Product (disinfectant, algaecide and flocculant) for routine mainte
nance. - PH regulators (lifting and lowering) for routine maintenance. - Rapid a
ction chlorine shock treatments. - Flocculant for treatment of shock. - Descalin
g system for cleaning the filter and the glass of the pool.

Solving common problems
Green water CAUSE SYMPTOMS
Presence of algae or high levels of copper. PH imbalances, presence of contamina
nts in water and / or contamination of the filter.
TREATMENT
-Adjust the pH. -Make a shock treatment of disinfectant (chlorine). -Adjust the
pH. -Applying a shock treatment and, if no improvement, check the status of the
sand filter.
White water
Viscous and slippery floor walls strong odor that causes eye irritation and mucu
s Water Turbidity
-Make a low-level treatment of shock (the levels of chlorine and chlorine should
be present between 0.8 and 1.4 ppm). algae. -Apply an anti-algae treatment. PH
imbalances. -Measure and correct the pH.
Presence of particles in suspension.
-Adjust the pH. -Provide flocculant and, if not improved, check the filter.

At the end of the season
These are the operations that you perform just finished bathing season to prepar
e for winter storage of your pool:
1 Leave the water in good condition with a low content of free chlorine.
2 With the filtering circuit in place,
add product for wintering.
3 Stop the circuit the next day, throw in
water a piece of wood (or anything else that floats) and fill the pool with a ta
rp for wintering.
