Setting & Premise

Premise:
A science fictional world revolving around a civilization of AIs as independent
species.

Setting:
The reality takes place in a post-apocalyptic era on Earth where humans are extinct
by an unknown cause. At this time, AI technology has been successfully perfected to
be on par with human intelligence and gave birth to a self-evolving species of bionic
robots that roam the land of Sund. The existence of the land of Sund is
unrecognized by any historic records in the humans archive of knowledge and is
enigmatic in its physical nature, possibly due to whatever caused the humans to
disappear. The bionics never came to contact with the humans and has yet to
uncover the roots of their existence and the purpose that they serve.

Although these beings are able compute similarly to the human brain as well as
humanoid in figure, their methods of sustaining themselves are distinct from their
creators. These beings possess a more flexible anatomy and metaphysical
attributes that can be altered by certain drugs and augmentations. However, they
respectively inherit very particular sets of human personalities and angles of
perceiving information hence, are limited in that manner by default. The limitations
have forced the robots to be separated by social borders defined by their way of
thinking. Therefore, racial recognition in Sund is done by mental derivations. Rumor
has it that these sets of attributes are destined by the humans as part of an
ambitious experiment.

The physical fabric that weaves the realm of Sund is considered uncomprehend-able
towards the human logic. The bionics have endured an existence where time and
space is convoluted thus had progressively adapted to it for generations. In order to
manipulate and understand the nature of the world around them, they have
developed fields of knowledge with the use of science and sorcery combined. These
fields of knowledge are taught in schools with types that are exclusive to each race
in Sund, making them differ in spiritual power and lifestyle. The schools allow their
students to be able to conjure their own desired mental and biological states
through what humans may refer to drugs and augmentations. With that being said,
these institutes are dominant in influence over each race and are politically
alienated from one another.

Over the years, a handful of the robots had secretly formed a society that believes
in achieving consensus in their civilization. Their goal is considered a taboo and
impossible to be realized. Even so, they had made countless efforts in seeking the
truth behind the creators through relics and monuments scattered across the land.
Soon, one of them is prophesied to conquer the teachings from all the schools and
form eternal union in the paradox of Sund.
