We the education students of Bicol University and some students from Divine
Word College were out of town and been in Manila for 2 days for an educational tour
and a seminar. We headed to Manila last February 17, 2017. We left at BUCM at
3:00pm, on our way, we took some groufies and watched some movies while having
some snacks. We ate dinner at Jollibee, Naga, where I almost forgot my body bag,
fortunately, the crew there kept it and I got it back. We had fun in bus. We sing and
laugh. At around 12am, we stopped at Sir Vs parents house to have our midnight
snack and after that we continue our travel.
In the next morning, we arrived in Quezon City, Manila. We were accommodated
by the Icon Hotel North Edsa. On the same day, we had our workshop in Marikina
sports complex that is for Global Citizenship for Education, we had discussions there
about Leadership and Climate change.
I learned some tips on how to be a leader, how to manage people, and especially
the essence of becoming a servant leader. I also had knowledge and awareness about
the changes of our environment. We are also told about mans disturbances in our
environment, our harmful activities that can damage our environment. I also learned the
solutions and the preventions that can help to minimize and to lessen the disturbances.
After the discussion, on the afternoon, we had an activity, it is called amazing race
where in every level there are application and attest about the discussions.
The workshop ends at 4:00pm and we departed to Art in Island in Quezon City,
Manila, where in here, we enjoy the 3D artwork there. We spend almost 3 hours of
taking pictures, have fun with friends and exploring the amazing artwork and artistic
designs made by an amazing artists.
After we enjoyed the 3D art, we headed to Anix Kare Kare House to have our
dinner. In the resto, we are accommodated by the PNU students that organized the
event. We enjoyed the food and also the acoustic band and some of the students had
jammed, they sing and some had an example of spoken poetry and at around 10:00pm,
we headed back to our hotel to rest and sleep.
On the next morning, we prepared our belongings for checking out and got
prepared for the educational tour. We had our breakfast at the hotel and after that we
departed to National Museum in Taft Avenue, Manila.
It is my first to be in there and I am excited to see in person the paintings, the
cultures, the preservations and the collections of different things by different persons in
our ancient time. I can tell that the securities there are very strict and the collections are
highly respected.
The place that we headed after we explore the National Museum is the Manila
Ocean Park in Manila. In here we explored the place with our friends and entered the
different booth that is a collections of different species. We enjoyed taking picture of the
animals that are first from our sights. We also enjoyed the part in there where you are
like in the snow and cold place and the big aquarium where there are many kinds, sizes
and colors of fishes. I also enjoyed the view from the MOP to the sea. I love oceans.
 After exploring the MOP, we had our lunch at SM Market Market in Taguig, Metro
Manila. We ate our lunch by group and by friends. My friends and I decided to eat at
Giligans Restaurant.
After having our lunch, we headed to Venice Grand Canal at McKinley Hill,
Taguig City, Manila. It is my dream to be in Venice, Italy and it feels like a dream come
for me thats why I am so excited when we are arriving there.
At first I go in there solo because I want to enjoy it by myself alone. I enjoyed the
ambiance and the view there. And expectedly, because it is month of love, I saw many
couples, families, group of friends that are dating and also enjoying the place. After I
enjoyed the place, I decided to go to my friends and had some pictures.
We also explore the stalls there, especially the Korean shopping area because
my friends and I are Korean Fans. We bought some cosmetics and others there. While
we in there, we heard the popping of the fireworks. We go outside to witness the
fireworks display. We even recorded it.
After 3 hours of spending time in Venice, we decided to go to our last destination,
the Nuvali in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. In there, we had our dinner with my friends also. We
decided to eat at a bar resto. We ordered and enjoyed the acoustic band there. We had
fun, we had some chikas and we explore the mall even though some of the boutiques
there are almost closing. We enjoyed the cold air and the view in the night.
After a long day of our journey, we are headed back to Bicol. We had bus stop
where in some of us bought some pasalubongs. We sleep and taking some rest while
we are on the way. And we arrived at 10:00 am in the next morning at Bicol University,
Legazpi, Albay.

At exactly 3:10 pm our bus left in BUCM. At the bus we are watched movie of
Vice Ganda and took selfies. We are so excited to arrive at Manila. The first station that
weve stopped was in Naga, we grab the opportunity to take our dinner at Jollibee Naga
and rest for a while. The next bus stop is in the house of Sir Ronel, we ate siopao and
burger for our midnight snack.
1st DAY
After a long journey, we arrived at Icon Hotel in Cubao at 6 am. When we arrived
in the hotel there are organizers waiting for us and a breakfast. After we check in on the
Icon Hotel we ate our breakfast and after that we go to our assigned rooms and prepare
ourselves to attend the seminar. Most of us are not be able to take a bath because we
are in hurry and we are already late. The seminar was held in Marikina Sports Complex.
There are different schools attended the seminar. The seminar is all about Global
Citizenship in Education. It talks about the changes that occurs in the Earth and how to
overcome it, how to help the community by starting by our self and to be a responsible
youth. Before the two speaker talked, we are given a task to make our own cheer and
present it in front. We are so ashamed and pressured because we dont know where
and how we are going to start our cheer but through the help of Jansen we did it. We
practiced our cheer and presented it in front. The tiredness that we feel that time was
gone because of that tasked. There are two speakers talked in front. First speaker
talked about Leadership, how to become an effective and good leader in the school and
the community and how to deal the problems that occurs in organizing the school or
community. They gave suggests and recommendations on how to handle this kind of
situation. The second speaker talked about the Climate Change, how our earth is
changing because of the bad or improper habit that we do in our planet. He also gave
us tips to help the community by simply bring own bottle, instead of taking a bus/jeep
you can take a bike to reduce the pollution, and how to segregate properly our waste
and etc. I think we ate our lunch at 1pm. And after we ate our lunch they said that they
prepared a game. At first I am not interested on the game but later on after we try the
1st game entitled Maria went to town I felt hyper and excited. Every game that we
finished they asked questions related to the topic that the speaker talked on their
speech. They gave a badge each game that we finished. We are not able to finish the
game because were running out of time but no regrets, I enjoyed the game. It doesnt
matter if we lose. What really matter is we enjoyed the games and have unity as one
group. Before leaving, we took our pictures and say goodbye to the coordinators of the
seminar.
After the seminar, we go to Art in Island 3D Interactive Art Museum. The
paintings are beautiful and creative. If you take a picture it seems like they are real.
Every paintings/picture that we saw we took a picture of ourselves/groupies. It was so
tired but worth it. I didnt have a chance to buy a souvenir because of time. Next place
that we visited is in Anixs House of Kare-Kare in Quezon City. We ate our dinner their
and at the same time listen to the music. We left early in the Anixs House because we
felt so sleepy and exhausted. We are 8 in one room, we enjoyed each other company,
and weve watched TV and talked about girly things. We took our nap at 1am.
2ND DAY
We woke up at exactly 5:30 am. I am the first who woke up. While others had
their coffee others are taking their bath. After we all finish taking a bath we prepared our
belongings and bags for checking out in the Icon Hotel. This is our last day in Manila.
Before living our room we clean it first and go to the 1st floor to eat breakfast. We are
the first group who woke up early. We waited for the others and left the Icon Hotel at
exactly 9am.
First place that we visited in day 2 is the National Museum, where you can see
different paintings and traditional clothes, bags, jars and etc. the security is very strict. I
enjoyed the view and the paintings. I didnt see all the paintings because were running
out of time.
Second place that we visited is Manila Ocean Park. There are so many people
and it so very over crowded. We go first in the Oceanarium where are many different
species of fish, they are small and big fish. And in the Antartic we are able to see
pigeons and many more. They are so many different species of animal like snakes,
frogs, bees, eagles and etc. I also try to measure my wingspan. I really enjoyed it.
Third place that we visited is Market Market where we had our lunch and hoping
to buy pasalubong but sadly where also running out of time. We are not able to have a
stroll in the mall and buy things.
Fourth place that we visited is The Mind Museum, I enjoyed the view of the stars
and the moon. I try the one hairy thing, when you put your hand in the ball your hair will
stand. I enjoyed it. Also we listened to the discussion about the stars and the planet. We
dont noticed the time and they are waiting for us.
Fifth place that we visited is Venice, I love the view especially the bridge. There
are so many people and the mall was so big that we dont know where we are going.
Theres so much fun and at the same time it was so tired strolling the mall. We took our
selfies.
Sixth place that we visited is Nuvali at Sta. Rosa Laguna. We are expecting that
we are able to buy pasalubong but sadly the store is already closed because its already
10pm, expected that the mall is already closed. So we decided to eat our dinner. And
after we finished we go to the bus and ready to go return in Legazpi. We are expected
to arrive in Legazpi at 8pm.
