Afterword
The President hit the ground running in the first six months and we expect much more will be done
in the succeeding months and years.
This year-end report highlights the most compelling results of the hard work, purpose,
and commitment of the Duterte government to give the people a safe and secure environment
vis-a-vis the top agenda: fight illegal drugs, corruption, criminality. Rest assured that the faces,
places, and accounts of experiences of engagement with communities give inspiration
to the President and his team, and strengthen every government worker's resolve to do public service.
This we can say: The Presidents heart is in the right place, and he has only the interests of the
Filipino people and the nation, first and foremost in his mind.
We in government thank you for the unwavering support and trust in the President's leadership.
There is no better time and no other time for him to lead us to a point of national pride. All hands on
deck. Each and every one is called to build a future that once seemed impossible but now is ours
to chart and to realize because we can only grow better as a people and worthy members of the
human race.
