Popularly known as the Devbhumi, "The Land of the Gods",

Himachal Pradesh is a beautiful hill state in India, nestles in north-
west region of western Himalayas. The state is landlocked with the
Tibetan plateau to the east, Jammu and Kashmir to the north, and
the Punjab to the west. However, the state stands apart from its
neighbors in terms of its sheer topographic diversity and
breathtaking pristine natural beauty. From vast tracts of high-
altitude Trans-Himalayan desert to dense green deodar forests,
from apple orchards to cultivated terraces, from snow capped
high Himalayan mountain ranges to snow fed lakes and gushing
rivers.

Winter season is a perfect time for honeymoon couples to enjoy

the heavy snowfall. There is a good number of winter sports that
attracts individuals to visit Himachal Pradesh during the snowy
climate. Winter season starts from the month of October and
extends till February. A good amount of snowfall can be adored
between the end of December month lasting till the mid of the
January at an average height of 3000 mts (Manali, Narkanda, Kufri
and Shimla). Rohtang and Keylong Pass always remain in frozen
state almost all through the year.

The cold and chilly winter in Himachal makes a person to get

comfortable and warm with their beloved partner. The
temperature may vary anywhere between 0 degree C to 15 degree
C. Skiing is most familiar and interesting adventurous sports during
winter season. Even a beginner can have hands on experience on
this sport without any difficulty with help of experienced trainers..

ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrive Chandiharh , transfer to Shimla. (90kms/ Approx 04 hrs )

Arrive Chandigarh Airport/Station and depart for Shimla by road. Shimla the state capital of Himachal Pradesh is surrounded by pine deodar, oak and
rhododendron forests. Shimla was also the summer capital of the British Raj. Arrive Shimla and check into your hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02: In Shimla - local sightseeing

This morning after Breakfast enjoy an excursion to Kufri, and Naldehra. Kufri has some good hiking trails and ski slopes, cedar forests and excellent
picnic spots. Naldheras spruce pines, old English style cottages and popular golf course, the oldest in India is a must see. Afternoon visit to the Mall,
stately mansions, and curiosity shops. Return to your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 03: Shimla onto Manali (260kms/ Approx 08 hrs)

After early breakfast, depart for Manali by road Enroute Visit enchanting Kullu Valley on River Beas. Arrive and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day is at
leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 04: In Manali Local Sight Seeing

This morning visit Hidimba Temple, Manu Mandir, Vashisth Kund and Naggar Art Gallery.
Afternoon free for shopping. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day05: In Manali excursion to Rohtang Pass Road (Snow Point) ON YOUR OWN
After early breakfast enjoy a breath taking drive to Rohtang Pass-(51 Kms) on the highway to Keylong/Leh. The Pass is open from June to October and
is a gateway to Lahaul, Spites, Pangi and Leh Valley. Return to hotel and overnight stay.

Day 06: Manali onto Chandigarh (292kms/Approx 08 hrs)

After breakfast, depart for Chandigarh by road visiting a Kullu shawl factory enroute. Drop at the station/airport.

Jhakoo Temple is situated on the Mall Road in Shimla. Tourist vehicles are not allowed on the Mall Road and hence the clients have to hire local
vehicles on sharing basis and direct payment basis. Jhakoo Temple being on a hill, its advisable to visit the same before dark. Clients can visit
the temple first and then enjoy their time on Mall Road.
In Naldehra and Kufri, beyond the car parking, it is advisable to hire a pony on direct payment basis because of the bad road conditions; though
its a short distance and can be trekked on foot.
Few hotels / resorts used in the packages are located on the outskirts of the towns; specifically selected to avoid crowed areas and traffic
congestions in the peak season.
You can hire the snow-wears on the way to Snow Point, Manali on direct payment basis.
Please consult driver / local representative for next days sightseeing schedule / Transfers timings. If any passenger fails to follow timings given
to him, then he may miss that particular sightseeing / transfers and Thomas Cook will not be responsible to arrange the same. He / She Needs
to arrange the same on direct payment basis.
It is mandatory to carry photo ID card (except Pan Card) while you are on tour.
Most of the hotels offer complimentary heaters or are centrally heated. However, some hotels might charge extra for the heaters provided.
The cost for these heaters is not included in the package cost and has to be directly paid at the hotel. The cost may vary from INR 100 to INR
300 per heater per night.
During winters, Himachal experiences a heavy snowfall. There might be chances of landslides, road blocks due to snow, unavailability of
electricity due to power house breakdown, issues with the TVs getting the signals and other technical difficulties. We would be with you and
ensure your comfort and safety as far as we can. However, unforeseen expenses like 4x4 gypsy transfers, additional accommodation in hotels
due to landslides, and other similar events, would be payable by the clients directly to the vendors. Thomas Cook shall not be liable to pay
these additional expenses.
Rohtang Excursion : the client can take the local State Transport Bus (INR 600 per person return) and visit Rohtang. The frequency of these
buses is good. The client has to get the tickets from the Bus Depot at Mall Road. The client can also connect with the hotel staff for further
guidance and timing schedule of the buses. The local cabs charge somewhere between INR 2200 to INR 6000 depending on the demand - the
hotel reception shall guide the guest on the same.
In case the client doesnt want to visit Rohtang anyway, he can go for - Naggar sightseeing (half day), Jana Waterfall trail (half day), Kullu (full
day), Manikaran (full day). Note that all the above mentioned sightseeing wont be possible in one single day connect with the sales or the
Ops for a suitable plan.
