CHAPTER FIVE

PROBLEMS IN USE AND THE SOLUTIONS

1. Remotes are locked or dont work:

Check the power status in your remote control.
Check whether your remotes are compatible with your CAT-4 or not.
2. SIM password lost: get it from carrier.
3. Weak GPS signal: Increase sensitivity of antennas, check whether the signal is shielded or not.
4. No GPS signal: most probably caused by location and weather.
5. Shake alarm caused by weather: deactivate the shake alarm by sending SMS command N, sending H to activate it.
6. SIM card can not be accessed to network: Confirm network frequency and system. Check the installation of SIM card.
Check your GSM antenna connection.
7. No SMS received from CAT:
z Maybe no balance in SIM card.
z Network is busy (especially when GPRS is working.).
z SMS is delayed.
8. CAT relay is burned: CAT voltage is 12V, but it is installed in a car whichs voltage of power supply is 24V.
9. Alarm is not reported: the relay does not work because the CAT voltage is 24V and the cars voltage is 12V.

1. Introduction
This software is designed for our GSM/GPS Car security terminal use. By using GSM/GPRS,

you can track, record and manage your vehicles. It is used for fleet vehicle management.

Individual user can also use the software. Please do not use the software in other car security

products. The software uses hook-on navigation map (Google Earth, for example) to display

vehicle position.

Main Features

1. Fleet ManagementA group of vehicle info may be input in the software. You will be

able to track, record and manage any vehicle in the list.

2. Map DisplayYou can use hook-on map (Google Earth, for example) to display your

vehicle.

3Vehicle StatusYou will be able to send command from the software center to check your

vehicle status.

4Real Time TrackingYou can send track command to the terminal through the software

center. The terminal will periodically report GPS data to the center.

5Alarm ManagementThe software center can receive all the alert messages and the GPS

data.

6. History Info PlaybackYou will be able to play back the history info and see the vehicle

move route in map.

7.GPRS DataThe software can receive, process GPRS data from the terminal.
