ME2155 COMPUTER AIDED DRAFTING AND MODELING LABORATORY

Time: 3 Hours Maximum Marks: 100


Note: Drawings are to be prepared using any computer drafting package and the print out of
the drawing is to submitted for evaluation

1. Draw the front view, top view and side view of the object shown in figure 1. Insert 100
dimensions suitably.

2. Draw the front view, top view and side view of the object shown in figure 2 Insert 100
dimensions suitably.

3. Draw the front view, top view and side view of the object shown in figure 3. 100
Insert dimensions suitably.

4. Draw the front view, top view and side view of the object shown in figure 4. 100
Insert dimensions suitably.

5. Draw the front view, top view and side view of the object shown in figure 5. 100
Insert dimensions suitably.

6. Draw the front view, top view and side view of the object shown in figure 6. 100
Insert dimensions suitably.

7. Draw a plan of residential building with one bedroom, kitchen, and hall etc using 100
software.

8. Draw a plan of residential building with two bedrooms, kitchen, and veranda etc 100
using software.

9. Draw the isometric view of the orthographic view shown in figure 7. 100

15. Generate 3D model of the object shown in figure 2 and obtain 2D multi-view 100
drawing.

16. Generate 3D model of the object shown in figure 3 and obtain 2D multi-view 100
drawing.

18. Generate 3D model of the object shown in figure 4 and obtain 2D multi-view 100
drawing.

19. Draw a hexagonal prism, has a face on the ground and the axis parallel to the 100
V.P. It is cut by a vertical section plane, the H.T. of which makes an angle 45o
with xy and which cuts the axis at a point 20 mm from one of its ends. Draw
the sectional front view and the true shape of the section. Side of base 25 mm
long, height 65 mm. Insert dimensions suitably.

20. A pentagonal pyramid, base 30 mm side and axis 65 mm long, has its base 100
horizontal and an edge of the base parallel to the V.P. A horizontal section
plane cuts it at a distance of 25 mm above the base. Draw its front view and
sectional top view. Insert dimensions suitably.

21. A cylinder of 40 mm diameter, 60 mm height and having its axis vertical, is 100
cut by a section plane, perpendicular to the V.P., inclined at 45o to the H.P.
and intersecting the axis 32 mm above the base. Draw its front view, sectional
top view, sectional side view and true shape of the section. Insert dimensions
suitably.

22. A cone, diameter of base 50 mm and a axis 50 mm long is resting on its base 100
on the ground. It is cut by a section plane perpendicular to the V.P., inclined
at 75o to the H.P. and passing through the apex. Draw its front view, sectional
top view and true shape of the section. Insert dimensions suitably.
