CRS RICE BOWL: During Lent we will participate in CRS Rice Bowl, a faith-in-action program that will help you
experience Lenten spirituality by living solidarity with people in need around the world. Every child has been
given a CRS Rice Bowl to take home. We will be collecting your CRS Rice Bowl at the end of Lent.
CONGRATULATIONS: Congratulations to the lucky raffle ticket winners for Gala 2017: Grand prize $5,000.00 to
Bobbi Weisbach, 2nd prize $500.00 to Ann Gunter, (parishioners) and 3rd prize $100.00 in lottery tickets Ramon

RE-REGISTRATION: Reminder: Registration forms for the 2017-2018 school year were sent home February 17th
with your child. Please remember; if your registration fee is paid by March 17th for returning students fees are
$250.00 per child. If paid after March 17th the registration fee is $300.00 per child. Also, please remember when
you return your registration form with the registration fee your PTG fee of $200.00 per family is also due. If you
have any questions, please contact the office.
SAN DIEGO COUNTY SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING FAIR: Good luck to the following students who will be com-
peting in the Greater San Diego Science and Engineering Fair Wednesday, March 15th at Balboa Park Activity
Center. Congratulations to: Alysia Landa, Jillian Hirsch, Alexis Kane, Gabriel Vitug, Teresa Temprendola, Lauren
Kennedy and Jack Hightower. Thank you for all your hard work, and good luck!
PTG GENERAL MEETING: Join us Thursday, March 16th for our PTG General Meeting starting at 6:00 pm. We en-
courage you to attend this informational meeting. The class with the highest attendance will have a free dress
day.
APPLEBEES 8TH GRADE FUNDRAISER: Looking ahead.Mark your calendar! We welcome you to join us Sunday,
April 2nd at Applebees located at 7677 Balboa Ave from 8:00 10:00 am for a delicious breakfast. Tickets are
$10.00 each, and $5.00 of each ticket goes to the school. Also breakfast may be ordered for take out. This is a
8th grade fundraiser all proceeds go to the 8th grade class.
GIFT CARDS: Gift cards are a great way to shop, and a great way to help earn funds for our school. Order

enrollment code 5B7465D45922 and follow the simple instructions. Once again, thank you to the families, pa-
rishioners, and friends who use the gift card program on a regular basis.
THANK YOU: Once again, we want to thank our PTG Board, and to all the parents who volunteered so many
hours in making our Gala 2017 a huge success in so many ways. The dinner, drawing, decorations, silent auc-
tion, music, and gambling all came together to make a memorable evening. In addition to the school sup-
port, we are so grateful for the support and participation of Fr. Ed and for all of our parishioners and friends. St.
Columba School says thank you to every person who supported this wonderful school event.
Thank you to Mrs. Lunn for organizing Mardi Gras! The students enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon with Bingo, and a
big thank you to Mr. Kane our Bingo caller!
