Lesson 1:
Basic Line of Khmer Alphabets

In order to write Khmer alphabet well, you need to know their basic lines. There are 33 consonants
with 33 subscriptions, 23 independence vowel, and 13 dependence vowels. Even though there
seems so many consonants and vowels in Khmer language but to write Khmer alphabets, we only
need to know only few basic lines as we showing below.

and Leg (lower part). In order to make symbol of each alphabet, we need to know the basic line and
connect them together. Lets see the sample connection of the basic line to make a symbols of
Khmer alphabet.
