Students will demonstrate leadership skills by developing
recruitment plan for mock scenario with at least 85% according
to rubric.

Time (length of lesson): 2 class periods (1 hours)

Equipment and Materials needed:


Students need their computers
White board (front of room)
Rubric (class makes)

Introduction:
Circle Process, review med terms
Give scenario: You are in management in a health care facility.
You need to hire more staff. You have been chosen to go to a
job fair to recruit more health care workers for the facility. How
do you take on this task?
Allow students to think about this and write down their ideas for
1-2 min.

Body:
Brainstorm ideas on the white board. One student will write
ideas on board as others share.
Discuss with students that we will actually be going into
classrooms and they will be educating these students on what
our class is about and the benefits to taking HOC if you are
interested in a health care career.
Divide students in groups so they can work on their recruiting
ideas.
I will visit with each group for question and answers,
suggestions, ideas, etc.
Class will come together and we will develop a rubric on how
they should be graded.

Summary:
Restate how sometimes in a facility, we may take on a
leadership role and deal with public.
Importance on being able to let others know and understand
what a facility (classroom) does.
