SPANISH 1, UNIT 4 PROJECT: COM ES TU ROPA?

INSTRUCCIONES: You are a fashion designer getting ready to put out a catalog with your latest
clothing line. Your job is to create a catalog with a detailed description of each item to entice your
audience to buy your new clothing line. You may choose to design clothing for you, a friend, or even for
your favorite celebrity in your catalog!
YOU WILL MAKE A SMALL POSTER OR PAMPHLET WITH YOUR ILLUSTRATIONS/CLIPART/MAGAZINE
CUT OUTS SHOWING THE CLOTHING AND CAPTIONS DESCRIBING THE CLOTHING IN SPANISH.

YOU WILL INCLUDE:

1) TWO CATALOG PAGES: One for a male and one for a female

2) FIVE ITEMS OF CLOTHING for EACH person (Total of TEN articles of clothing)

3) TEN COMPLETE SPANISH SENTENCES (ONE sentence for each item of clothing) that describe
what the person is wearing. [See directions below for more details]

YOU WILL BE GIVEN TIME IN CLASS TO WORK ON THE ROUGH DRAFT OF YOUR PROJECT.
YOUR FINAL DRAFT OF THE CLOTHING CATALOG PROJECT IS DUE:
Friday 10th, 2017

STEPS TO COMPLETE YOUR CATALOG

1) Under the Brainstorming Section (next page), write a list of the FIVE items of clothing you
want each person to wear (10 items of clothing total). You should use clothing vocabulary, color
vocabulary, descriptive adjectives, the cost or price of the clothing.
2) Next, sketch out your people and what they are wearing on a sheet of printer paper. Make sure to
label each article of clothing in Spanish. Use color and be creative!

3) After completing the sketch, write a paragraph for each person in Spanish underneath their picture
telling what they are wearing (and using descriptive adjectives, colors, and the price). Use the Pre-
Writing Section on the third page of the packet to draft your paragraph and have me come
check it before you create the final version of your clothing catalog.

NOTE: Your project must be NEAT, COLORFUL, AND GRAMMATICALLY CORRECT in Spanish.

There will also be an optional PRESENTATION ELEMENT for EXTRA CREDIT. You may present
your project on the due date. You will be graded on Correct Pronunciation & Eye Contact
