The Saudi Arabian AMIANTIT Company (SAAC) was

established 1968 in Dammam in the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia to manufacture pipes. Today AMIANTIT markets
a wider range of pipe products than any other pipe
manufacturer and provides a total solution to
customers fluid transfer needs, designed to optimise
the applied technology and costs.

The Group serves municipal, civil engineering,

industrial, energy and agricultural markets worldwide,
supporting global infrastructure development.

FLOWTITE pipes are made using glass fibre reinforced

plastics and manufactured using a continuous filament
ES

winding process. A very dense laminate is created that

maximizes the contribution from three basic raw
materials. Both continuous glass fiber rovings and
choppable roving are incorporated for high hoop

strength and axial reinforcement. A sand fortifier is used

to provide increased stiffness with placement near the

neutral axis in the core. The FLOWTITE dual resin

delivery system allows applying a special inner resin
liner for severe corrosive applications while utilizing a

less costly resin for the structural and outer portion of

the laminate.

Performance
& Quality Standards

FLOWTITE Fibreglass pipe systems are certified

according to many national and international standards.
Standards developed by ASTM, AWWA and the last ISO
and EN are applied to a variety of fibreglass pipe
applications, including conveyance of sanitary sewage,
water and industrial waste. That includes ISO 10467 for
drainage / sewerage and ISO 10639 for water as well as
the European EN 1796 and EN 14364. AMIANTIT is
participating in the development of all these standards
with representatives from its worldwide organisation, Raw materials are delivered with vendor certification
thereby ensuring performance requirements that result in demonstrating their compliance with FLOWTITE quality
reliable products. requirements. In addition, all raw materials are qualified
and tested prior to their use. These tests ensure that the
pipe materials comply with the specifications as stated.

The GRP pipe performance requirements are tested both

short-term and long term. The most important ones are
joint qualification, initial ring deflection, long term ring

capability. FLOWTITE pipes and coupling systems have
been rigorously tested to verify conformance to those

standards. In the meantime, extrapolation even up to 150
years could be achieved and FLOWTITE GRP pipes meet
