Students will be able to illustrate their ability to count money by counting
different coins and recording them on their worksheet.
Curricular assessment: Check for understanding if they get the answers
right on the worksheet.

Language objective:
Students will be able to identify that the word cents is associated with
money by showing their ability by using the word in their sentences.
Language assessment: You can check for this by making sure they use the
word cents in their sentences when they are talking about money.
Vocabulary terms and definitions:
Pennies- one cent
Nickels- 5 cents
Dimes- 10 cents
Quarter- 25 cents
Materials:
Scissors, glue sticks, whiteboard, dry erase marker, money (pennies,
nickels, dimes, quarters), money monkey flashcards and worksheet, Money
poem worksheet, I know my Coins! worksheet.
